They grow up so fast these days, they hardly have a childhood anymore, it's like they go from pre-teen to woman now.
Maybe not the best for girls/women development as a person....end of rant commentary.

What I like about Chloe Moretz is that she has shown spunk and personality. After the septic nature of the prequels, it's really important to cast actors who have personality and charm. I found her line delivery and comic timing in KickAss to be very impressive actually.

Why are there so many posts about getting actresses who look like Carrie Fisher?? Carrie Fisher & Mark Hamil look NOTHING like either Natalie Portman or Haydn Christensen (thank heaven's too, cause those OT twins were uuuugly!!), so we don't need their kids to be clones either.

Also, please please no Jennifer Lawrence!

She'd make a great Galactic courtesan that a Jedi is secretly seeing on the side. Put her in a metal bikini please.

Really, that's your perception of her, I don't find too many women to be creepy, oh sure there is the disgusting toothless drug addict hooker in her 40's banging on your car window, yeah that's creepy.
But the average woman, even if they are butt ugly, they don't come across as creepy to me anyways.

I think a lot of posters in this thread are just looking for pretty faces, not whole packages who need the neccessary spark, spunk and and flair to pull off the role. I really would be holding her up more to Carrie Fisher than Natalie Portman. Carrie had way more spunk and natural instinct. Jennifer Lawrence has the whole appeal for me. She can be physical, witty, sulky, etc.

I wonder if the movies will focus on Luke's kids with Leia's as supporting characters?

If there is forty year gap, that makes for a big range in characters ages and the number of possble children.

I hope Lucas hasn't stuck to a nuclear family idea (2 point 4 kids) and that between Luke, Land and Han and Leia (even Chewie) there will be a lot of kids - even if that requires some to be minor characters with brief appearances or only mentioned by name in the movies (and kept for the inevitable TV shows)
