Teenagers and above should be what the Jedi Council is aiming for.

I think it should be aimed for all ages as people of all ages love Star Wars.

My criteria for who the JC is aimed for:

    Correct capitalization

    Correct labeling of mark-up codes

    Almost totally correcting spelling

The ability to uses commas in the right place at the right time

The ability to speak their mind without using double negatives

The ability to speak their minds intelligently.

Bad example: "MAH GAWD!1111 you GOin DOWWWWWN sonni!!141214!!!!:

Good example: Oh my, if you continue that activity, serious repercussions may follow.

The ability to speak their minds without flaming, baiting, or trolling other members.

The ability to recognize that signing onto the JC while under the age of 13 is a clear violation of United States Code.

The ability to recognize that discussing where to find or how to use illegal materials may or may not be a violation of United States Code.

The ability to recognize that everything they post on the JC is under U.S. jurisdiction. I believe this is because the servers are located in the United States.

An absolutely undying love for Star Wars.

    Note:

Minor swear words used in proper context are just fine, in my opinion.

There should not be an age specific forum on the JC, as many adults act like idiots and many teens act like adults. Of course, the opposite is true.

Star Wars Saga, The Senate Floor, and the Amphitheatre, show that the JC can have mature discussions without discriminating based merely by a person's age.

All ages, since they have maturity. Maturity is the key element. I don't mean maturity as being serious, but rather as being conscious.

What is the Slacker Council? I've never heard of it, could be because I'm new here.

I voted 20+ and then saw the first post and wish I hadn't. I like the fact that his board is swear word free. Sometimes I wish the posting style was a bit more mature, but age has little relevance in that area :)

I voted for teen, but that is because you did not put other as an option, so I just picked the one in the middle.

    20+

Although, I think 18+ would be better.

I voted teens. I think 13 and up is a good range. I don't really think parents should let kids under 13 surf the internet alone or unsupervised anyway.

I also won't to salute the mods for deleting and erasing inappropriate remarks. They do a good job and should be recognized.

Aim for 20+, but don't include anything that we minors can't see.

Should be aimed at all, but if I choose, it should be aimed at 20+. ;)

I'm a teen, but I think aiming the boards towards 20+ would have a nice effect on all us... but that's just me...

I put 20+... I would like it to be a little more mature than it is... I'm getting a bit annoyed at Fan Fiction with all these Obi-Wan, or Luke, or Jag love fics that involve an OC that probably resembles the writer. ;)

However, I don't want it be like FF.N, or Schnoogle, or any of those other boards where stories are usually X rated.

I also agree though, that 18+ would have been a better choice.

All Star Wars fans should be able to come here and discuss their fandom.

If that means leaving certain things off of the site (such as swearing and sexuality), I'm all for it. There are other sites where this can be discussed.

I see very little being taken away from what we're all really here for by making this site for all ages.

While I respect everyone's opinion, I think the boards should be geared towards the adults.
