What are some games that are the black sheep of popular franchises

That everybody else seems to hate or just not know about, for example the legend of zelda is one of the most popular franchises in existence and i think out of the official nintendo one's the one that gets the most hate, or people not even knowing about it is, Legend of Zelda ll The Adventure Of Link for the Nes.

The reason i think people didn't like it is because it was a huge departure from the style of the original game. And to my knowledge is the only side scrolling game in the franchise. Also does anyone know if this is the only zelda game with music not composed by Koji Kondo?

Regardless it is a great game and does not deserve the hate it receives.
