Its hard for me to choose which one because its a tie between... Action-Adventure, RPG's, and Startegy.

I enjoy FPS's the most, but "startegy" games would be my second favorite genre.

    Adventure.

Then flight / space sims and SW FPS's in equal measure.

What about flight sims? TIE Fighter is the greatest game ever.

Most of the time I play FPSs, but lately most of my time has been spent playing Morrowind.

I buy more FPS types and adventure games, but still spend more time playing RPGs because they last longer.

FPS, games like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark,Red Faction.

If PS2 had a game just like Perfect Dark out right now with all of the same features and improved graphics and all of the flaws fixed they'd be making Alot of money, the game is awesome i say make one just like it with two CD's and 55 or more missions, and at least 70-80 Multiplayer levels against Sims and or human players.

I'd play more adventure if the genre was a bit more popular among developpers (and players). [face_plain]

I then settle for FPS, be it in space (à la Wing Co, Freespace, and NOT like XWA, which is just a flight sim) or regular on ground with a big gun in my hands.

Strategy first, then FPS then RPG's. It's difficult because really I can't choose just one type of gaming. Although a good strategy game will give you much more replay than all the others.

Eh, basically anything with the Star Wars logo on it. :D Yes, I'm a sucker and a fanboy, shutup. :p

But my favorite Star Wars games are FPSs closely followed by Action/Adventure games (like TPM and/or KOTOR). :)

FPS and RTS. Though I'll probably play the two Star Wars RPGs coming out...

I'm actually a turn based strategy fan boy. My theory is that unless you develop and give individual units their own AI that's worthwhile, what's the point in trying to play a computer that can do every action it wants to at once while you're messing around with one unit, the scrolling or going to the next unit or planet you want to control the computer just redesigned all of it's ships, order the planets to build them, optomized their funding and coerced 3 of your planetary govenors.
Some games just aren't meant to be real time.

....space combat sims (Wing Commander III is the greatest game of them all), followed by FPS and 3rd person action games/Survival Horror games (Devil May Cry, Silent Hill, The Thing, etc)

I like to play strategy games and RPG. My favourite game is Combat Mission. That game really showed how to handle that real-time or turn-based question.

    And I hate FPS.

FPS and "startegy" on PC, and sports and space sims on consoles, with a small dose of RPG thrown in for good measure.
