Back to The Getaway. It's one of those games that addicts you because it frustrates you so much. Because of its clumsily bad controls and atrocious camera, simple menial tasks become monumental undertakings, and the simplest of accomplishments become momentous. You keep playing because what you're trying to do is so simple in theory that you cannot allow yourself to be stuck not having managed so minuscule a goal. You play it partly out of spite. But out of that slowly builds skill that encourages you to go further (much like any other game). The London setting being fairly unique in video games is also a compelling element.

Well, my Wii just died so I'm left with my phone (sims 3, Spider-Man unlimited) and Gameboy (Pokemon).
Not that I'd be getting Battlefront anyway. Those Prequel excluding fools aren't getting my money

I tried the HD re-release of Nights into Dreams. I didn't understand the goal of the game.

The goal is to play it and then talk about how it had the best flying mechanics of any game ever but you kind of had to be there, man, I can't just explain it. There was a followup step where you griped about Shenmue III never coming out but it no longer applies.

Seriously, though; I gather that I'm supposed to fly through orbs and rings and stars and whatever else to gather points to then crash into the "nightmares" and smash them (they are very reminiscent of metroids, by the way). But I do this and my time still runs out. Am I simply too slow? Or am I supposed to do something else too?

I am now finally back into Skyrim after an intentional hiatus to ensure I could focus on the final stretch of my Master's, since it is way too easy to get sucked into Skyrim. I just finished the Civil War, this time as a Stormcloak, which was annoying considering the Dark Brotherhood quest Bound Until Death can't be active in order to do the Battle of Solitude. Now on to Alduin's Bane, since I would rather finish the Civil War instead of dealing with Season Unending. Bugs, especially the rather annoying Marked for Death/Drain Vitality bug with Dawnguard, and to a certain extent the occasional instability of the game in some situations are the only problems I have had with Skyrim.

You're supposed to be gathering the chips, depositing them in the collector things, bringing the four collector things back to the temple, then going to beat the boss up.
