I am giving up the juice.
Also soft drinks.
Prolly Facebook too.
Cleaning out the dryer.
I see what you did there.
You could, you know, give your little OZK a break for Lent.
Okay, just a suggestion. FB and soft drinks. Tough **** to give up, man.
I don't see how making a lame pun is being all that hard on him.
I'm giving up Lent for Lent. I do that every year, and if it ain't broke...
Giving up Easter candy.
I was thinking about giving up abstinence.
I heard the Pope is giving up being catholic for lent.
By juice I assume you mean 'roids?
Anyway, me and Superman are probably going to play some golf on that day, then I might head over to Wonder Woman's for a BBQ.
Alcohol, son. Alcohol.
I'm also following the traditional fast, too. Look up "orthodox fasting".
Me too! I'm observing the Ember days too.
In addition, I'm going to try to do the complete Divine Office, Stations on Fridays and Divine Mercy at 3 PM. In light of the recent news I'll probably add a Rosary for the Conclave.
I'll probably be watching the Conclave news. I watched when he was elected as well.
Yeah, I gave up Lent for Lent years ago, and it's been pretty refreshing.
I'm giving up fish for Lent.
I'm torn. I used to give up abstaining from meat on fridays when I was a kid and in catholic school. But now I'm a vegetarian, so I have no damn clue
Dangit, does Lent start this week?
Yep - Wed is Ash Wednesday..
Easter is early this year - March 31.
So anyone giving up chocolates for Lent won't get to eat their Valentines Day choccies til Easter.
I will continue to enjoy not being religious, but remain happy for my friends who choose to be and partake in Lent and cheer them on in their decision of what to give up.
List of things I can't give up:
Worrying about work
TV (never watch it anyway)
I could give up complaining about school...and focus more on the benefits of taking classes at a 3rd-rate public college....
I should give up ordering books from Amazon for Lent. I might make an indentation in my reading pile if I did.
I'm already on a diet and gave up drinking pop so I think I'll pass on lent this year.
I'm giving up arbitrary self-deprivation for religious purposes.
