What are you doing on May 25?

May 25, 1983 is when Star Wars Episode 6 Return of the Jedi came out. So this May 25 comes it will be 20 years sence it came out.

I am going to watch my 1983 verson of Return of the jedi my dad recorded off of showtime a long time ago.


What are you guys going to do that day?

 

I guess I can put my ROTJ tape into the VCR for the anniversary. (Though I wish I had the original version to watch and not the SE. )

 

I agree. I will put my VHS of ROTJ in the vcr like you guys do.

 

Let us also not forget that May 25 is the anniversary of ANH.

And by coincidence it is a holiday weekend in both the US (Memorial Day) and the UK (Spring Bank Holiday) so more time for partying..

 

I will be on vacation

 

Hopefully, I will be at my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Diego.

Otherwise, I will be unpacking boxes and moving into a studio apt.. It depends on other people doing their part.

I'll be at the theatre watching the Indiana Jones saga. My theatre gets them next month.

 

I'll probably be having my own little Star Wars fest...all the movies plus a little snacking

 

Be careful StormChewieJedi, that many hours of SW can lead to a lot of snacking.

If I don't get around to watching it that day, I'll at least get out the soundtrack.

 

I'll try to remember to watch ROTJ as well.

I love the Special Edtions better the the oringals and thats what Lucas really whated in the raglury movies but he did not have enough money.

Does anyone know if they released the widescreen un-SEs to video/whatever?

 

Probably be eating cake and then going out for a drink or two with some friends. It's my Birthday too, but so many people tend to ignore that!

Well, May 25 is also my parents anniversary. My family usually sends them on a little vacation somewhere, so i'm stuck at home by myself.

Every year I watch the entire saga in a row. So, it will be a little longer this year.

That is, if my brother ever gives me back my AOTC DVD which he has had for over 2 months.
