Woohoo, NZ rules!!
Just wondering: who were you channeling there? Playschool, Bart Simpson, Peeves or Gollum?
I voted buying the New Zealand verion, but it might be more like the Chinese one when I get there next year. The DVDs that I currently have are Chinese market ones (flat cardboard covers and no extras - but worth every cent of the one dollar we paid!) but I'm going to get the boxed set here before we go then stick the untainted Chinese covers over the top!
It does seem a little... excessive
Other thoughts inspired by this pic are 'hard to miss' and 'OH DEAR GOD WHAT IS THAT'
Personally I would have gone with something a little smaller. If they want to create some sort of colour recognition, why not have a blue (or appropriate colour) band at the top or bottom of the slick, rather than something that obscures the artwork.
indeed. Or making the traditional M or PG different colours.
I hate the government.
perhaps they should get People who enjoy film and collect dvds to WORK FOR THE OFLC!!!!!!
yeah, I was looking through the DVD selection at JB hifi today and discovered that R gets Black. Black! It's still large and beefy, but the colour doesn't try to rip your eyeballs out with vinegar and rusty nails!
Hmm... vinegar and rusty nails... I might have to visit those folks at the OFLC and see what they think of that...
besides, isn't blue a calming colour? shouldn't it be a dangerous type, to 'warn' people away? MA, for example, is red. And I did notice the R rating, at least those are kinda safe
I'll get a copy in Singapore on the way home then, sans sticker. W00t.
After I'm done shooting down innocent bystanders, i'm going to buy it. But being an obsessive nerd (who can get discount DVD's ) i'm RE-buying the DVD's, with big blue ratings so RotS doesnt stand out in my collection. The prequels are being re-released on December 17th, with big blue ratings along with the OT boxset with blue rating and without the bonus features DVD.
"Here Mr.Lucas take my money! I dont want it! It's yours!"
He's a lateral thinker, our murder-sambo.
Except that only AOTC and ROTS, being M15, have the blue logo... the others all have a lovely, PG, bright yellow logo.
thats the big problem!!! Its a problem you cant solve by throwing money at it!
what, never heard of textas?
what is this wonderous new invention?
Uh.... No-one... uh.... Note the *moan* at the end. I was just spieling nonsense. But you can think that I was channeling all of them.
Everyone's making such a big deal. Sure, the sticker is quite noticable. That's the point. Why are you so afraid of it? You'll get used to it in time, just like anything else.
I dont care about the new system. But why couldn't it have waited till after ROTS came out????
This just in! From Mousedroid.com : "SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Today , 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has confirmed that Australia will be seeing a Star Wars Episode III Limited Edition Slip Case. These will be available thru Kmart and Target stores nationally. Plus the Slip Case will have a Removable Ratings Sticker. A big Thank You to Fox for listening to the fans on this issue.
HUGS FOR FOX!!!!
this calls for smileys:
If this is true, then fuuuuunkaaay.
Indeedy. Do you think my own photographic smiley's will catch on??
what do you mean if?
I got an email/pics direct from Fox Ent.
after weeks of nice polite emails
what do you mean if?
I mean exactly that. IF.
I tend to take things, that people online say, rather lightely without solid proof.
Will you post a very public, very humble apology to MSE-6 when you're pwned?
When I'm owned? Ha.
I never said he was wrong, or even remotely implied that. I simply said I don't trust anything unless it's directly from Fox...and the source he posted wasn't.
So uhm, why would I be getting owned?
Oh and l33t speak isn't cool by the way.
Also, I didn't realise that you had to apologise to someone for not agreeing with them.
I love it!
I suspect you didn't get what I was saying, nor MSE6's connections.
