I got Gackt's new cd, Crescent, so I'm jamming that. I can't get enough of the guy. I've also been listening to a lot of Lush as well.

Anyway, what's in your player in the car or at home?

I'm listening to "The Boy From Oz" soundtrack. It's Broadway's newest smash hit, featuring Hugh Jackman in the role of Peter Allan. The current song is, "I Go to Rio!"

What you asked...don't roll your eyes at me. So what if Wolverine sings and dances like an angel. LOL

I'm kind of void of new music these days, I don't know what to listen to anymore..
Here's what I have in my cd-changer in my car:
    1. Star Wars soundtrack compilation
    2. Hawaiian music compilation
    3. 80's music compilation
    4. Beastie Boys compilation
    5. Metallica compilation
    6. Kill Bill soundtrack.

At home, I'll I've been listening to lately are the LOTR soundtracks. It's good non-distracting background music to fill in the silence.

    I need some new music.

Gackt? Is he one of those Japanese Pop Idols?

I made a most excellent compilation from the Star Wars (OT) soundtracks. It was stolen along with my flashlight when some scumhound took my first car stereo. They took other select compilations I made, too. They basically went shopping in my car. Icky thieves. Blech.

I've never had the time to make a good SW compilation since. Boy that was a good tape. I don't use CDs in my car because of the wild ride I've got! Excellent articulation, but too bouncy for a laser. Sweet li'l Trooper of mine...

Yep. He used to be the frontman for the visual kei band Malice Mizer. He went solo a few years ago, and I must say, his work far surpasses MM's work. He can do rock, acoustic, and pop and sound awesome doing it all. A lot of guys hate him though because he is quite beautiful, and well, the whole magnum incident on Utaban...

    A nice Gackt site

'cuz I'm a lousy ingrate, that's why. Just kidding. Yes, I've also been listening to the illegal copy of a bootleg of Metallica in Toronto, given to me by a good friend.

Yes chibiangi, He is very pretty. It's funny that there's pics of David Bowie and Michael Jackson on that site too. Well, I'm not judgemental, I'm sure he's an excellent artist.

Bowie's great -- an artist in every way. And I *still* think MJ's "Off the Wall" album was brilliant. And that was when he *looked* his best, too! Didn't care for "Thriller" or anything after that...

I can see that there's a lot of 80's lovers here. :) It's been my little secret for years, but I am crazy about Def Lepard and Bon Jovi to this very day. Try not to hold it against me. :)

Now, in my car is an entirely different matter all together. Right now I have in:

My Acoustic Mix (stuff like REM, Coldplay, The Flys, Travis, etc...)
My Mellow Mix (Real quiet music like Chris Isaac, more REM, Sting and such)
My Driving Mix (60's, 70's and 80's rock, like The Metallica, Ramones, Beatles, Def Lepard, The Who and such)
3 different Broadway Mix's (Speak for themselves)
Moulin Rouge! and More Moulin Rouge!
    Chicago Soundtrack (the movie)
In Living Color (Old 80's rock Band)
    Oklahoma '98 revival soundtrack
And finally, my Down With Love soundtrack which has one of my favorite artists on it, Micheal Buble.

You know, looking through someone's music is like looking at their underwear drawer in a way. Very personal stuff.

JBB, is he talking about midichlorians? If he is, then it's not a good thing.

I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one who listens to Star Wars soundtracks in the car. Oh, I also listen to my Star Wars lounge music(Cocktails from the Cantina by the Evil Genius Band) too.. that used to be in my cd changer too.. but I took it out to listen to the Kill Bill soundtrack. I think I'll put it back in.

SoloJedi, we should continue our discussion of SW Soundtrack discs in your "Let's talk about SW" thread.

Lately, I've been listening to 1540 "The Ticket" Sports Talk Radio. In the CD Changer I have: Pantera's Vulgar Display of power, Sepultura's Chaos A.D., Korn's Korn, Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory, The Misfits' Earth A.D. and Lords of Acid's Lust.

Normal radio blows, and I'm in one of my I've heard everything phases, so muzak has been down on my priority list of late.

James Newton Howards score to Peter Pan is THE second best soundtrack of 2003 (second only to Klaus Badelt's score to Pirates of the Caribbean. Hans Zimmer's protege's score to that swashbuckling movie was its best part (Sorry, Mr Depp!!!)

By all means, if you love film scores, get Peter Pan!
