I've done this topic on many forums, and this is the most appropriate place to do so, or so I believe. It lets us other people know what you like to listen to when it comes to music. What song are you listening right this second as you type? It doesn't have to be limited to film music, or at least I don't hope so. Hope it works.

    For me . . .

    Song Title - Artist's/Composer's/Band's Name

Catch Me If You Can - John Williams

We've done this on and off in The Music Tavern for a long time.

Feel free to stop in there and tell us what you are listening to.

"Main Title March" from Superman, by Williams.

I've been on a big superhero score fix lately.

I love the first three tracks of the Judge Dredd score, particularly Block War, but after that I usually get bored.

I found the 2 disc complete score on eBay not too long ago, and love every minute of it... it's a far better score than I remember it being from the film (still, the film was so godawful it's pretty hard to remember anything good being associated with it).

I've been listening to A New Hope and Kill Bill vol 1. I think soundtracks are amazing, we get introduced to music that we wouldn't normally bother with.

Concerto for Trumpet, Strings and Basso Continuo / George Philip Telemann

I agree with the post above me. What to which we are exposed can influence how we like or dislike something. Since we like one thing, a related item will also be something we might enjoy. Seeing a film with a powerful soundtrack might trigger one to investigate orchestral music and perhaps other musicians of the genre. Costumes in films might entice someone to go into costuming. The angles of the camera might have a few curious seekers look into photography. In the end, what floats one's boat just may become an obsession or hobby.

In The House from the 28 Days Later soundtrack. It's one of the moodiest pieces of music I've heard in a long time. I love it! :D [face_love]

Main Title/The Federation Blockade/The Droid Invasion, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (My latest "Definitive Edition" edit, they only seem to remain definitive for a little while, before I have to start messing around with them again [face_tired]), John Williams no less.
