wampa : Let me make sure Ive got this right : You were reading Heroes Die and you just stopped in the middle of it so you could read something else ? Are you mad, man ? That book was unbelievable, and there was no way I could have put it down, especially in favor of DJ (eccch!) Im about 3/4 of the way thru Prisoners Hope, and then its on to Blade of Tyshalle, and I cant frackin' wait ! :D

Oh,and no hard feelings about your first post, dude. :)

Wedge 88 : I read that youve been having trouble finding Heroes Die online. This may be a stupid question, but have you tried your local B & N or Waldens ? Just about everytime Im in there I see at least two or three copies lying around. If you still cant find it in your local book store Im sure that they will order it for you, it usually takes about a wk to ten days. But Im sure you already know all this ! :)

I had to order Heroes Die at Walden because there never seems to be a copy around. I didn't get too far into it last time so I think I'll continue where I left off somewhere on Day 1. So far it's really excellent.

I got BoT at B&N, they didn't have Heroes Die in stock. Nor did Borders or Bookstar. I didn't try the local Walden because its in the mall, and that place is scary. ;)

From reading the FREE Flash Gordon thread it seems that HD is being replaced on bookshelfs for BoT.

I ordered from Amazon again tonight, hopefully I'll have it within a week, which should be around the time when I finish Armor.

I'm reading finishing up BeastSlayer the 5th book in the excellent Slayers series from the Warhammer world. Good ol' non-complicated Fantasy/War story. Nice stuff Now I need to find VampireSlayer.

"The times of changes is here....you will all die."

Also rereading "What Cost for Freedom" an excellent Gundam Fanfic written by my friend RedComet.

Well, I just found out that the eu existed about a month ago, and decided to try to read the novels in chronological order. After running through "cloak", "darth maul", and "episode I", I am now to "rogue planet."
I would like to know how these novels compare to the later stuff by some of you more experienced readers, and what you would suggest i read after I get done with episode II.

I would suggest you read the six Han Solo novels.

    The Paradise Snare
    The Hutt Gambit
    Rebel Dawn
    All by A.C. Crispin

    Then:
    Han Solo at Star's End
    Han Solo's Revenge
Han Solo and the Lost Legacy
All by Brian Daley and can be found in one collection as the Han Solo Adventures

    I'm currently juggling Douglas Adams'
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and Patriot Games. That's the only Jack Ryan series book I haven't finished thus far. Then it's on to a re-read of The Bacta War and whatever else I can scounge up at the library.

I'm reading Salvatore's "Icewind Dale Trilogy". I am about halfway through "The Crystal Shard". It is pretty good, I love the characters, but the plot seems pretty basic and straightforward so far. no surprises yet.

By the way, Dark Glory War and Fortress Draconis are great reads!

I recently completed Speaker For The Dead by Orson Scott Card and I'm almost finished with Armor by John Steakley. Then I'm on to Rebel Stand, Echoes of Earth by Sean Williams and Shane Dix, Depth of Time by Roger MacBride Allen and finally The Dark Glory War by MAS; in that order most likely.
