Right now I'm reading The Scar by China Miéville. It's his third novel, and each is exponentially better than the previous. I hope he can keep it up; I truly do.

Next, probably starting on Wednesday, I'll be reading Traitor Yes, 90k words of Stovery goodness to tide me over until the fourth of July. I can't wait!

Right now, I'm about half way through Clive Cussler's Sahara. Next on the list is either Stephen Coont's America or Clive Cussler's Valhalla Rising.

Finished Harry Turtledove's American Empire: The Center Cannot Hold, now I'm about 1/4 through Coercion (non-fiction) by Douglas Rushkoff. I'm also thinking of getting Jihad vs McWorld,so hopefully that one copy at B&N will still be there when I decide :)

I can't say how I got it. It is not audio.

    Mastadge? You found it?

Turtledove is great. I'm finished Walk in Hell a month ago, I have the next book and the two American Empire hardcovers as well. I'll get to them sometime.

American Empire: The Center Cannot Hold

    Didn't Yeats write that poem?

Things fall apart, the center cannot hold.
Something something something air, the falcon can't see the falconer
    etc etc etc
something behemoth slouches towards Bethlehem to be born. . .

I'm reading Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John Le Carre. It's one of the weirdest spy novels I've ever read

To put it bluntly and frankly. . .

Stover is God. Cherish it. You will not often read a Star Wars book like this.

Wow, I was hoping Id get a reaction like that ! And yes, Stover is God...Ive got a little less than 200 pages left in BoT, and this book is frickin amazing. As soon as I heard the story behind Traitor and new that MWS was writing it, I knew that it would be great. After I read the brief B&N excerpt, I knew that this book would be classic Stover, and I even went so far as to say that when all is said and done, Traitor may be considered the best of the NJO. :D

Looks like my prophecy may not be the crazy after all, eh, Mas ? :)

I'm biased. You ought to ask that of someone who's not unhealthily obsessed with Stover's books.

I'm not "unhealthily obsessed" with Stovers books, I haven't read them (although I own the two Caine novels), and I can say without a doubt now that Traitor is the best NJO novel yet, IMHO. Finally, a book came along that stole that place away from Vector Prime. :D

Just finished Ascendance by RA Salvatore and let me tell you what...that book was a freaking yawn fest. I don't reccomend it to anybody.

I also just finished "The Nanny Diaries" (Read it last Saturday) on my mother's reccomendation. Guys, I know it may sound girly or whatever, but it's really a fascinating read. A glimpse into the real life of the Upper East Side new york city money. Really great stuff.

Probably start Goblet of Fire again. Dunno. We'll see. I wish Traitor would magically appear on my doorstep.

To tell the truth ... nothing. I'm getting Rebel Stand in a few days (probably, even though I know I'm WAY late). Can anyone suggest what other Star Wars books I should read after that?

    I have read:

Whole NJO up to Rebel Stand.
    The Thrawn Trilogy.
    The Hand of Thrawn Duology.
    I, Jedi.
Children of the Jedi and Planet of Twilight.
    Rogue Planet.
Many Jedi Apprentices and Jedi Quest 1 and 2.
    The Courtship of Princess Leia.
    Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter.
    Darth Maul: Saboteur.

And I think that's about it.

Im about to start Fisherman's Hope, by David Feintuch.

Up next : The Golden Globe, by John Varley.

So, Wedge says that Traitor is the best of the NJO to date, huh ? Just remember who said it first... ;) :)

lightsaber_wielder, I'd suggest the Han Solo Adventures, the Lando Calrisian Adventures, and the Han Solo Trilogy. Also, The Jedi Academy Trilogy, Darksaber, and The Black Fleet Crisis Trilogy. X-wing series, Cloak of Deception, The Approaching Storm, and Rogue Planet. Thats about it then. :D

Also, might want to try and look into comic books.

DVader, hehe. Who was it really? You? Caine? Mastadge? ;)

Now that Traitor is done, its back to finishing up Armor.
