I know that most EU books have been translated into Polish but I've only ever read them in English so I have no idea if the translation is good or bad.

The translation in Poland is sometimes horrible too. They are translating almost everything, sometimes there are stupid mistakes in translating, or some idioms are tranlated word by word... and the books are so expensive...

The situation with SW translations in Czech republic are quite sad. Aside from several DK ecyclopedias and essential guides, we've had only The Thrawn Trilogy twice (one translation worse than the other). Recently, first two volumes of Jedi Academy Trilogy have come out, and the translation of Jedi Search is simply excellent. Next year, we'll get third volume of JAT, plus entire Hand of Thrawn duology.

It's realy sad :( Especially quality of the Thrawn's Trylogy translation. It's one of the best books about SW.
I see, that we are lucky in Poland. In December, we will get Shatterpoint :) In January we will get the second volume of Force Heretik, and the third in February :) And, it's not all books, which we will get
