I'm reading Methamorphosis by Kafka. It is one of my favourite books and I've not read it since High school.

I'm reading "The history of 20th century" by Paul Johnson.

It's kinda funny, the way he writes about European history made me think he was an American. But he turned out to be English [face_thinking]

Nasljednik Sile / Heir to the Empire ---> brilliant book. :) And it is translated to Croatian. [face_dancing]

I'm going to disagree. I reckon that Zahn was one of the better EU writers before 2005. In fact, until Stover did the RotS novel I'd say Zahn, along with Stackpole and Allston, had the best books of the lot.

Well Luceno is good author also, and as for Thrawn, zahn and everything else with blue-skin... Dark Fleet Crisis has similar quality, although it's not so dynamic :p Of course, it's dynamic, you can read it easily... but still... I prefer Anderson's books than Zahn's (not those written with Moeasta of course :p) and "Survivor's Quest" is Zahn's worst book ever read :p although I haven't read "Outbound Flight"...

And as for best books... Shatterpoint is the one for me ;) and Zahn's... are slightly under Anderson's :). And I like Lando's andventure as well ;)

I'm going tommorow to get "Scattered Suns" by Anderson [face_dancing]

I'm one of those ambivalent about Anderson. I don't love his style, but I don't hate it. I quite enjoyed SQ, and I loved YJK, so leave Moesta alone :p

And I hate Luceno's stuff, the only decent ones he's done are Unifying Force and Labyrinth of Evil.

Stover's ROTS nevelisation is he one of the best SW novels I've read, I think. Shatterpoint was ok, too.
I like Troy Denning. He wrote Dark Nest ( :D ), Star by Star... and I also like his Forgotten Realms novels.

Denning's somewhere in the middle for me.

Stackpole and Allston are by far the best though. X-Wing series = teh best. EVER! :p

For me Allston, not Stackpole (he is somewhat teh tech nerd, it's boring to read 10 times per book how do X-Wing work!!), and still Allstone is in the upper class, but not the best for me ;)

I've got 'Scattered Suns"! now just wait till Exam sesion's end... [face_worried]

So, Allston is good? Can't remember if I've read any of his books. Or maybe I forgot his name...[face_thinking] If he is as good as you say, then Betrayal will probably be good. I want Betrayal!!! :_|

Started Dark Force Rising today. [face_dancing]

Allston did 4 of the X-Wing series (Wraith Squadron, Iron Fist, Solo Command and Starfighters of Adumar), and the Rebel Dream/Rebel Stand duology in the NJO.
