Poop. Not Molokai; Molokini. My mistake. It's a small island right off the east coast of Maui. It was originally a volcano, but it long ago went extinct and has been mostly swallowed up by the ocean. All that's left is a crescent-shaped island. The inner crater is beautiful, like a small ecosystem all on its own (fish, eels, more fish, the occasional shark, more fish, sometimes a turtle or two.) The outside edge is something else entirely: it's a sheer drop that's rated as one of the top three or four scuba sites in the world with an even more exotic variety of sea life. I was only able to go in the inner half, but one of the couples we met at the resort took the outer rim dive and got some great close-up (less than ten feet) pics of a manta ray.

Aer Lingus sucks. they banned the use of the iPod on flights because it "uses LEDs". it doesnt even have LEDs!!!!

I think it's the I resent that thread.

 

Considering most airlines ban the use of electronics because it messes up the navigation system, I too am surprised that Aer Lingus banned the iPod. Doesn't their navigation system consist of the pilot opening the window and looking out to make sure he's still following the highway?

And Dak, that is NOT a slam on Ireland, just Aer Lingus. When I was there (granted, it's been 14 years), Aer Lingus was a joke, even to the Irish.

but have to go to chainsaw safety class for my volunteer group....
just what in the hell are we going to do with chainsaws for 8 hours tomorrow? It can be handled in two hours...and after hundreds of hours I already have logged with a chainsaw...not sure they could tell me anything I don't already know...



dam....don't want to think about that anymore...
time to think of something else totally useless....
