From the BBC's new series, "Miracles of Evolution" - Flying penguins
After looking over the cool stuff we got for the shower, the best is the
RIP Charlton Heston - Soylent Green.
<obligatory NRA "from his cold, dead hands" joke redacted>
Taking "zero tolerance" to ludicrous levels - Now, I am certainly not one to accuse people who work in our schools of being smart. At my last job I had to interact with school employees quite a bit and there was one lady in the office of Naperville Central High School who did not know the difference between the greater-than and less-than signs. I am not kidding. However, I still try to give people the benefit of the doubt, only to be hit in the side of the head with a brick of a story like this.
I'm going to watch "Idiocracy" again and cry myself to sleep.
Quake 3 on iPhone and iPod Touch - I have to admit, that's pretty sweet.
Watchmen behind the scenes - Lookin' good so far...
Has anyone else tried the NoScript addon for Firefox?
Not I, said the pig. I probably should, given the corner of the Internet I hang out in. And since you didn't ask, the extensions I DO have loaded are:
Bork Bork Bork!
Grab and Drag
Several of those work for Thunderbird, too, which I also use. As does the MacfoxIIgraphite theme, which gives a nice, consistent feel to it all.
Laser Cats in 3D!
And completely unrelated, this surely is a sign of the apocalypse.
Can I rightly call this a sign of the apocalypse, or is that not fair?
Either way, to hell with that b!tch. ... oh, wait.
"But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."
C'mon. That is funny.
Never used NoScript but I pretty much use exactly what Haz has.
Best Little League game ever? You decide.
I presume these are the same guys who organized the "best gig ever" a few years ago. Neat stuff. My favorite part of the baseball writeup: "some Lugnut fans got a little violent with the Mudcat bear, chasing and hitting him repeatedly." Sounds like future Padre fans.
"How about that!"
Looks like Eddie Izzard will be in Chicago 5/15-5/17 performing "Stripped". Damn. And the closest to me is going to be Vegas.
Worth it? Yes.
He's coming to Austin, we're definitely going.
Eddie Izzard? Leonard Cohen? Flight of the Conchords? I'm gonna be one broke-ass mo-fo by the end of the summer.
"Do you have a flag?"
Wow. Just wow.
Yet another one of those "neat things I probably never would have seen if not for the interweb" moments: Super Mario theme played on wine bottles via an RC car.
"Thank you, Centron!"
The last of the Nine Old Men has passed away. Here's a video-, image- and link-filled link courtesy of IMDB:
These guys were the Mercury astronauts of animation. Sit down with a good cartoon sometime this week and marvel at the art form they helped create.
Zombie Strippers- 'Nuff said.
Yesterday the high temperature was 81 F. Currently there is 1 inch of snow on my lawn. Ah, springtime in the Rockies...
Ha! Thunderbird's spellcheck is omniscient!
I was typing to a friend and to be cute, typed "Intarweb" instead of "Internet". It's suggestion for the correct spelling? "Sedentary".
Second suggestion: Alimentary.
Firefox does it too, which I suppose makes sense. Those crazy Mozilla people. They know that the 'Net is full of lazy a$$holes.
June is going to be a METAL month!
DETHTOUR! I hope it is underwater. I can't wait!
NEW OPETH!!!!!!!! FRACK YES!!!
My brain is exploding with the awesome that June will contain. I can barely comprehend it with 100% of my brain.
Negativland show tonight! It was nice knowing everyone while most the synapses in my CNS still fired.
That SWCCG sale thread was just getting started. Poop.
"But Sipowicz does it!"
