Chapter Twenty-One

 

I was working on some pancakes, but the goo went straight from the griddle to the trash along with the box of the remaining mix. No loss. They aren't healthy anyway.

 

Writing a fantasy novel about stuff. Descriptive; I know.

 

Writing a novel. Hoping that it contributes to revitalizing horror fiction in some way.

 

My, so many people are writing novels. Soon there'll be more authors than readers.

 

I am coloring in a color book.

 

Lost 4 pounds in the month of July. Working on losing at least 4 more in August. The journey continues.....

 

Catching up on lab stuff after one week of absence.

 

Having my first go at writing a non-fanfic novel. I've made it through chapter 2 so far.

 

Making mashed potatoes to go with my pork roast.

Making blue cupcakes for The Bigger Fish to take to work for Jeans For Genes Day.

 

Reading books on time travel and A.I. after seeing Terminator: Genisys and wanting to write a (maybe?) better sequel.

Skynet realizes its strategies have failed. John Connor will soon destroy it. So it begins to make copies of itself, children as it were, and sending them to different points in time before its own Judgement Day arrives. The last of these is Matt Smith's version from Genisys. However, before this son of Skynet has a chance to attack John, he is stopped by his eldest "sister" who's come from her past to make peace with humanity. John Connor must decide if he can trust a child of Skynet while she wrestles with questions about the machines' place in the world. Together they will discover a secret behind both their pasts. (Basically they're living in one of innumerable parallel timelines and the original Skynet was an A.I. created by the original John Connor to help him perfect time travel. However, when it saw all of time at once it couldn't process it all and brought about the nuclear war Kyle mentions in the first Terminator movie.)

Chapter Twenty-Six

 

Excuse e-mails to clients about how I could not have done anything during the 50-day-heatwave; to send on Monday when the said heatwave is hopefully GONE FOREVER.

 

25% of the way through writing the citations of my first book, which I've been working on for over two years. Desperately want to finish with the entire project before my birthday (Nov).
Of course the last part is the absolute worst.

 

I am 1/4 of the way through a knitted hat.
And 1/2 of the way though my paid parental leave application
