Personally, I find it a bit racist.

Crackers and the word "niggardly" are racist, I think.

    So's the name Mick.

    Cigarettes are homophobic.

I think it's racist that Geordi had to wait until Season Two to be promoted to Chief Engineer.

They made up for Geordi with an Affirmative Action program that promoted Ben Sisko. Can't we think of the positives, people?

I'm sure better qualified white engineers and space station commanders were passed up in favor of those two. [face_plain]

I know for a fact that Riker was kept on the Enterprise for too long. Word on the grapevine is that he applied for the DS9 position and was invited to interview. When he turned up for the interview however, Starfleet paid (yes, paid) a particularly old Admiral to fall as he passed Riker in a corridor and break his hip. Riker never made it to the inteview, spending the rest of the day in A&E making sure he old man was alright.

And don't even get me started on Picard always dismissing Worf's suggestion to raise shields.

And how come all the aliens are always the same race? Ever seen a white Klingon? A dark-skinned Romulan? I'm telling you, man! They're trying to tell us something!

My point was that Star Trek used to be more racist. It's progressive now!

Vulcans are the second coolest race in all of Star Trek. Don't get me all riled up in here!

What's the first coolest race? Bald men from France who have English accents for no apparent reason?

Some of their traditions are barbaric and stupid.

    Yes, I said it.

You clearly don't understand the deeper meaning behind these traditions! They are warriors! And you, sir, are a mere intellectual snob! [face_not_talking]
