Mine are

Binary Sunset
Anakin's betrayal
Padme's Destiny
Anakin's Dark deeds
and that song that was playing when leia was all like "Luke its a trap!"

Those are my top 5 favorites but my other favorites include the ending to ROTJ(the new one, not the yub yub song) and the astroid field.

Across the Stars- Anakin and Padme love theme
Binary Sunset
Yoda's OT theme
ESB Asteroid Field music- one of my favorite SW scenes and I love the music in it

*Also "Cantina Band", even though it's not "technically" considered score; and "Approaching The Death Star" (love playing that when I go through the car wash) and "TIE Fighter Attack". But you did say "Top 5".

I'm kinda surprised that the Imperial March doesn't show up more on people's lists...

Yoda's theme is really awesome to for when you like a calming moment.
The Throne Room and Princess Leia's themes are also really awesome.

Erick that theme you couldn't name is "Ben's Death and TIE Fighter Attack" which is also a favorite of mine.

Well, the problem is that John Williams wrote too much good stuff Gets hard to whittle it down to just five.

 

^ exactly. I was wanting to put it on my list, but it couldn't quite bump the others. I also love Throne Room, and Final Duel.

Prequel ones I like are Anakin's Theme, DOTF, and Across the Stars

 

I don't know the name of the song, but when Leia says "Luke, it's a trap!", they're in Cloud City. Unless he used that theme over again, and altered it for Empire. Maybe it's Lando's Palace, or The Duel. I'm looking at the old soundtrack anthology, tho. Maybe the track title has changed.

 

On the newly-released soundtrack, I believe it's called "Carbon Freeze/Darth Vader's Trap/Departure of Boba Fett".

Still it's the IMPERIAL MARCH. With the exception of the opening theme itself it is the most notable and associated score associated with all of Star Wars. Just surprising it wasn't on most people lists.

Of course, those aren't in any particualr order. My least favorite song would have to be that gungan song at the end of EPI. I can't stand it!!!
one of my other favorites is the Opening theme (you know, the one with the scrolling text? Yes, i'm being sarcastic with that question) and the song that plays when I"ve left the room after having said someting important: The closing theme (when it cuts to the blue text at the end of the movie)

 

This should've been a "Top 10" list instead. John Williams' Star Wars cues are like potato chips...you just can't have one!

 

Actually the Gugan end theme at the end of Ep.1 is the Emperor's theme on ROTJ. Listen to is carefully, it's "happier".

ok i got a little excited there, sorry.

yeah, i can't really put everything else in order, but i do know i like the original trilogy music better than the new stuff, not to say that the new stuff is not good.
