After it is captured by the SD in the beginning of Ep IV, it just kinda disappeared from the rest of the film. What happened to it? Was there anything written about it?

VADER:Leave that to me. Send a distress signal and then inform the senate that all aboard were killed!

Mostly likely, Vader had it arranged that the Tantive IV was "destroyed" by some great event(meteor collision; engines blowing up) and the prisoners were executed...except for Princess Leia.

The Tantive IV reappears in Return of the Jedi.

There were other Corellian Corvettes at the Battle of Endor, but I don't think the Tantive IV was one of them. I know Masanya was one. Maybe the Razor was there too.

Do you guys read the novelisation? Vader ordered the Tantive IV destroyed, so as to cover up the fact that the Empire attacked a diplomatic vessel.

He then informed Alderaan that the vessel had met an accident

The Star Wars databank lists the Tantive IV as being in Return of the Jedi.

The Tantive IV was destroyed (I think they dumped it into hyperspace or something to make it look like an accident) to support the claim by Vader that all aboard were killed.

The Corellian Corvette you see at Endor is the Masanya.

Let's end the discussion.... From the Official Site:

"Imperial troops boarded the vessel, searching for stolen technical data beamed to the ship by Rebel spies. Though Vader's troops were unable to find the datatapes, they nonetheless took Leia, captured and destroyed her ship. Officially, Leia's ship was caught in an asteroid storm and all aboard were killed, though when Leia was eventually liberated from Imperial detention, the truth became known"

Tantive IV was destroyed almost immediately after being captured and searched.

    No, there is another....

....corellian corvette at the battle of Endor, that is NOT the Tantive IV.

After they realized the plans where nowhere to be found they probably had nothing better to do with it, so destroying it and following Vader's plan made the most sense.

I always thought Vader kept it to cruise around in on the weekends, pick up chicks, etc.

In my Star Wars Journal - Princess Leia Organa, Vader says when he enters her detention cell, "I'm afraid your father cannot help you, Princess. The Tantive IV has been blown to space dust. I have made sure that word has gone out that none aboard survived. Your father thinks you are dead."

Even though this isn't official, but I guess the Tantive IV was destroyed.

    ;)

I bet the Empire was still searching it ("Commander, tear this ship apart") when Luke's torpedoe hit its mark in the Death Star.

The Tantive IV has been blown to space dust.

Good Lord! I can't imagine Vader saying that without laughing through his respirator...

The Tantive IV also had a brief cameo in Corvette Summer.
