Hey, I know there's one of these in Aus General, but trying to up my post count, I decided to post one here, as well. :)

At the moment, in between various uni stuff, I'm re-reading Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder. A really interesting and thought provoking work, actually.

    Anyone else?

    Fight Club, by Chuck Pohlianak.
I t actually works better as a film rather than a book, unusual.

And Shara, shouldn't you be reading Darth Maul, Shadow hunter? :)

I held off reading the last 2 NJO books so I'd have something to read on the flight tomorrow (which left me halfway through Han's adventure with Droma).

Sith Magician: Have you read Chuck Palahniuk's other books? "Survivior" and "Invisible Monsters" work better as novels and each has a similar screwed up structure without any sense of time. Very cool stuff, I highly recommend them.

I just started "Lord Of The Rings" again and I've got "Crime and Punishment" and "The Unbearable Lightness Of Being" lined up.

I find it sad to say that not only am I reading only uni texts, I'm REALLY enjoying them. Comes from being an English major I guess. :D

I just finished reading Ovid's Metamorphoses (but not in Latin). If you ever want to read nearly every single myth of the western world, go to this book. It's awesome and a great read.

I'm just about to read a play called Endgame, by Samuel Beckett. It's about the last four people alive after the nuclear holocaust. But are they the last? And if they are, why bother living? Did the end really occur or is it just a figment of their imagination? Who knows? And that's the point.

Shara, I read Sophie's World a few years ago and loved it. Actually I want to read it again, but atm I don't have time. The end is fantastic!

I the holidays I am going to read Balance Point (FINALLY! Thanks heaps Shara!), Waiting for Goddot, The HitchHikers guide to the Galaxy (all of them), an anthology on nuclear holocaust stories, Pirandello's plays, The Crying of Lot 49, Chimera, Flaubert's Parrot, what's that you say? A trifle ambitious? Well, yes I suppose you're right. In fact the only thing I can say with certainty that I will read is BALANCE POINT! Yay!

PS I know I'm an ignoramus, but what are those books you're reading about Shadow?
