The Deep Field by James Bradley.

A BRILLIANT Australian author. His books seem almost...dreamlike sometimes. He's only written two but I highly recommend both of them.

Hmm, at present I am re-re-re-reading Memoirs of a Geisha...

Not that I particularly like it, but I just find myself compelled to read it every now and then because it's incredibly well-written...

    Well, there you go...

maes, I studied Turn of the Screw in first year - and I really didn't get it.

Just finished "Ruth" by Elizabeth Gaskell (Victorians are sooo long-winded).

About to start "Femenist Fairytales" which I picked up at the market. [face_devil]

Currently I'm not reading anything - except for the instruction manual for the Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Season...

but before that I had been reading through a number of Pratchett books. After Fifth Elephant I went back and re-read Colour of Magic, then Small Gods, then The Last Continent and most recentlt Jingo.

But now I'm all out of books.

Still that instruction manual really draws you in - for about the whole 10 pages.

Edit - I realised that "reallt" wasn't "really" a word...

Well, I finally caved to pressure (ie I got really really really sick of being left out of conversations) and read Harry Potter. Started Friday, was out and about all Saturday, was at work all today and have STILL nearly finished the third one. Seems like they were worth all the hype, dammit. Anyway, now all I have to do is finish LotR and I actually might be able to feel included in conversations. Hurrah. [face_plain]

Unfortunately due to work and other things I haven't had much of a chance to read anything. I've got the next 14 days off so I'm hoping to read a couple of books then. Especially LOTR. :D
