I have, dare I admit it, a Zorba the Hutt's Revenge bookmark.

In my defence it has cool artwork on it and it was a gift from a friend. Also it has no reference at all to Mofferences or the like.

So what bookmark do you use? or what do you use in place of a bookmark?

I have an Anakin bookmark from Ep1 around here SOMEWHERE...... but I have no idea where it is.

I usually use cheap, free paper bookmarks. hehe.

I do that too when I read multiple books. I have one with a Groucho Marx quote on it that I like.

"From the moment I picked up your book until the moment I put it down I couldn't stop laughing. Some day I intend reading it".

Cool. My friend has a Lando one but the colour scheme is weird and he looks like some kind of strange disco pimp or something.

I either use a folded peice of blank white computer paper or a star wars trading card. I have tons of those and I don't even collect them. They came with all the old Insider and Galaxy magazines I have. So, thats kinda cool.

I think I used a folded magazine subscrition flyer when I read Rebirth. So, I use whatever.

I once bought two EPI bookmarks (just for fun) when I traveled to the US in october 99, one with Obi-Wan and one with Maul, and I pasted them together, and I have kept it since then.

And now that I think of it, I remember I bought them in the commercial center under the WTC... :(

I used to have a bookmark that said Shhhhh I'm Reading, but the tassel broke and I couldn't fix it like I had the other two times. Thus it was no longer a cool bookmark so I threw it away. Now I just dog-ear pages.

You dog-ear pages?? Oh my God, that's sickening!!

Anyway, I usually use whatever I can find. I've used a piece of toilet paper, paper towel, candy wrappers, pieces of paper, paperclips, nails, and of course, Post-It notes.

I use Magic:The Gathering cards as bookmarks. They're cheap, the dimensions and thickness are great, and some of the artwork is good.

I had a bookmark with The Crystal Star's cover but I lost it a little while ago. I'm just using a generic bookmark now.

Like Simone, I can generally remember what page I'm on without too much trouble, so I need to bookmark pages that often. When I do, there are three different ways that I go about this:

1.) If it's a hardcover, I mostly just keep track of the page by tucking in the inside cover flap.

2.) If it's a prequel book, I use a TPM postcard that I picked up from... somewhere

3.) If it's Classic Trilogy or beyond, I use my favorite TCG card; the one with a pic of Han on it and the quote, "Hear me baby, hold together."

    :)

all my various computer books at work are bookmarked with post-its.

but at home i usually use the free ones that Amazon gives you. they're large so i can always find them, yet they're free so i don't worry about losing them.

I don't use bookmarks. I either simply remember the page I'm on, or I leave the book open. I do this in such a way that it doesn't ruin the spine, though.

I always use the receipt I got at the bookstore for new books. For old books I use whatever scrap of paper is handy when I finish my first sitting. Sometimes I don't use anything and just remember the chapter or page I'm on. I would like a nice bookmark, but I know I'd lose it really fast.
