I picked up Issue #1 of the Dark Tower comic series. I was really shocked to see regular (non-comic book buyers) in the shop asking about the book while I was there. Frankly I expect this series to be picked up by King's small cadre of DT fans and that's about it.

I was also shocked to see them pull out the cover varients and demand $20 for them.

Blast, blast, and BLAST! The comic place I went to, today, was sold out of "Dark Tower" 1!!! Oh well, I think I'll give another place a shot, tomorrow. But as for today's purchases:

Shazam! Captain Marvel and the Monster Society of Evil- 1 of 4
Fantastic Four: The End- 6 of 7
    Action Comics- Annual 10
    X-Men- Annual 1
Essential Ms. Marvel Vol. 1 (Which is rather misleading, since from what I glimpsed, there is NO need for volume numbering, since her entire series run, up to "Avengers" annual 10 is collected. Unless they do a volume two of the character's "Binary" phase.)

Hefty week for me. I wasn't really expecting it.

Exiles #91 - A step above last issue, but Claremont is still nowhere near where Bedard had brought the series

    Thunderbolts #111
    Blade #6
    Barracuda #1
    Battlestar Galactica: Zarek #2
Ghost Rider #8 - How to make a Civil War tie in: Write the book about whatever you want and then add a throwaway line of someone saying "Can you believe what's happening in New York?" while showing the Avengers logo on TV.
    Wolverine: Origins #11
    New X-Men #35
    Ultimate X-Men #79
    Star Wars: Legacy #8
Astonishing X-Men #20 - Whedon continues to deliver again and again.
