    Hi all!

I haven't played in a long time, but I have been collecting cards. I got a complete EU set in one box of R2, which is all I wanted--one of each of the EU cards :)

Anywho, what deck are you guys playing with? Light and Dark. Have you been successful? What deck keeps killing you?

    Thanks!

I like to play anything that iosn't being played by the majority of the CCG community. This way people can never customize for me and gives me the edge of unpredicatbility. My favorite decks thus far are Dantooine Base Ops, Rescue the Princess, and Siener Fleet System (with TIE Defenders and Bombers).

I like to make up new decks every time I play, just to try weird things. I've tried Jawas, moisture farmers, stormtroopers, scouts, AT-ATs, Ties, X-Wings, all kings of stuff.

I've frozen Chewbacca and blow up the Death with BoShek, how about you guys?

Wow, moisture farmers. My friend had a moisture farmers deck that wreaked havoc around here. It eventually evolved into a Bo'marr Monk deck that was equally dangerous. A good friend of mine, before he dropped out of the game after becoming a Dad, made a deck with like 10 creatures in it. THat was the most entertaining deck I had ever seen. LOL

    Favorite Deck type Eh?

My favorite is MWYHL - its just so fun and it becoems a race for your opponent to try and whoop your butt on Dagobah before you complete Test #5. Every Time I play I ALWAYS make it to test #5 and usually test #6 (Post DS2). I played a Training Deck since the early Days of Dagobah. It has since becoem much easier and worth while to play!

It still a viable deck and CAN win Tournamnets! Although I am currently Not playing with MWYHL I have been experimenting with new deck types and Enjoying it too. i Played RST since DecipherCon 2000 and I did fairly well with it. I know I came out with a winning record. Anyway I recently(within the past 3 weeks) tore that deck apart so I could make another deck taht Ive been wanting to work for a long time. Thats Rescue The Princess! I believe I have found a good version of this deck. After a little more tweakin I think it will be a Killer deck! Another Tournamnet Winner!

Anyway, If you guys want deck lists of my decks email me and I will send them to you!

I usually try completely new decks every tournament. I'm a relatively new tournament player (about 6 months now), and I'm not trying to qualify for state or world championships or anything. I just got a bunch of cards and I hate to see 'em go to waste.

For light, I've had most fun playing You Can Either Profit By This ... and a Cloud City Sabacc deck. Currently I'm trying an Agents In The Court deck, with the real trick being Artoo. I put A Gift on him right away, then the Holoprojector and wait to draw up my Dejarik Holotable. I get some high-destiny dejariks (like K'lor S'lug) and Projection Of A Skywalker out with Artoo's holoprojector, maybe even Revolution, and drain for 2 or 3 at the holotable each turn!

For dark, the last two deck types I've tried have been pretty good. The last one was a Death Star II "That Thing's Operational" deck, which worked pretty well even against the new Watch Your Step decks. The one I'm trying now is a My Kind of Scum deck with Myo/Abyssins and lots of mains.

With the decs in my area ( mon calamari), you tend to get a few money players and the rest who get their cards from sealed tourneys, so decks round here tend to either win very well, or lose very well. One deck I had had xwings with power 10+, but that got kicked by vader decks, I'm still trying to get Massassi ops working but it doesn't to work very well. But if you have the right cards and a thick opponent then a CZ3 react deck is fantastic, you just slap down the cards one after another and add up the total. one battle, you lose 160 cards. Of course in tourneys you lose before you even start cos they just drain you off the map before you get the right cards in hand.

I know what you mean. That's always been my problem, getting the right cards out before they kick my butt so much I can't anymore, and my plan is blown.

Anyone remember the teleporting saber decks from prem? Thos were fun, let me tell you, before cumulative rules and other such fun things.
I hate Vader decks cos the one guy I know with one, has seven vaders in it. If there isn't vader on the table on second turn you're lucky. The only way to win was to hope to your favourite deity that he didn't get executor out and kill him in space

Sounds to me like this deck needs to meet a few cards: Chasm, Grimtaash, and Out of Commission

While I've collected the game since the begining, it wasn't until recently that my friend and I managed to figure out how to play (oddly enough it was the whole concept of deck design that we were having the biggest problem with....).

The first light side deck I made that seemed to work on paper was an Operatives deck, using local upring, focusing on Ralltir. Sadly, after finishing it i found out about the errata on operatives and beyond that, just got crushed by my friend's deck (damn probe droids...).

Luckily, my dark side deck seems to fare better, I call it "We Fear Their Scum", mainly uses the Bounty Hunters w/weapons, who cruise around on the Executer while cancelling/causing force drains as I use fears and a few otehr effects/interupts to cause opponent force loss (including a combination location, location, location and a docking bay grabber card...). Also have Vader and Jade and a few ships in there as back up. Seems to work ok...now all I gotta do is come up with a workable, unique, LS design (although i'm cautious about objectives cause i haven't had much luck with them)

I've tried all those ways to get him, the only way I have is wait for him to deploy to cloud city ( he uses sabacc) deploy a mining droid and use beggar to restrict his force so he can't move away, killed mara, vader, lobot and lando with one card, he was not impressed

    Quest--

Try Echo Base Ops, You Can Either Profit By This, Hidden Base, Watch Your Step, or Quiet Mining Colony (after Tatooine comes out and you have Keeping The Empire Out Forever). The above decks are all rather easy to make and the strategies are tested and proven in tournament play. There will be a Watch Your Step Deck card review coming out in teh next issue of the CCG newsletter which may help you as well.

Don't forget trampling chewie, now that's fun
or using greedo and a TD. Still holds the most characters killed in one turn, 19.

my current dark deck is an atat/atst/speeder bike deck on endor. around my circle of friends the deck has only lost once out of at least 20 games.
i am in the process of building a jawa/ewok training deck. it might win from causing my opponents to laugh so hard they forget what they are doing.

TD= thermal detonator. if you get the right draws you can flatten a whole site. Amusing when you blow up greedo and about 1/2 of your opponents characters with one go ( provided it works properly)

I pretty fond of my This Deal IS Getting Worse All The Time deck. I'll start off with the Port Town District where I can deploy SE Jabba and start deploying all my aliens for -2 with a power/force drain +1` for aliens. I also have 2-3 CC: Casinos in order to set up some sweet force retrieval with Sabacc and Lando. The only problem it really faces is being able to get the objective flipped. I have no idea how many times I've won with it and still haven't gotten the darn thing flipped. Oh well, I guess that will all change once Tatooine comes out. Wow, I get all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.
