Well, so Chewie saddles up to some cooked Porg, right? Feels guilty after the live porg gives him sad eyes. Cut away from scene.

So did Chewie shrug and eat it anyway? I mean, if Chewie just tosses it away into the grass offhandedly it would be probably more traumatic for the poor Porgs. So was there a burial for it? Did Chewie fling it into the sea/burial at sea (the Falcon is parked next to the edge of water!) Or was it saved for later cuz he had already eaten, like, 15 or something and wasn't hungry anymore.

I think a poll is really needed for anyone's guesses

You know, I was gonna go for burial at sea, but then I had the clearest vision of Chewie burying the Porg under a stone cairn while the Lanai caretakers looked on, and lo! they were indeed playing some sort of bagpipe-like instrument. So option 4.

Rian confirmed he definitely didn't eat it.

So I'm going with invisiblle voting option 6: there will now being a plucked and headless Porg Force ghost sidekick for Chewie in IX. :p

Chewie always seemed a raw meat kind of Wookie to me so I found the cooking bit odd with those big carnivore teeth and no apparent aversion to raw meat in ROTJ.

Froze it in carbonite to eat later. Should be quite well preserved.

Is Bob Iger a vegan or vegetarian by the way? I just ask because of the Black Panther joke too, "Just kidding, we're all vegetarians hahahaha" and the Porg / Chewie scene. It's like someone high up at Disney is really pushing that vegetarian angle :p My girlfriend is a vegetarian borderline vegan (she can't handle cheese, it just makes her sick, even though she loves cheese) so I'm pretty used to that, but I love my meat. I bet Porg tastes a lot like chicken. With some BBQ sauce...

Sorry back on topic, yeah I was wondering this too, because if you already killed the Porg, you may as well eat it. Don't let it go to waste. There's also the possibility that Luke, who we know is a meat eater, ate the Porg after Chewie didn't want it.

He took a selection back to Kashykk. Securing investment and a farmer to breed them, Chewbacca then opened a Twilek Star Restaurant in the exclusive Uscru district on Coruscant, known as House of Porgs. Dedicated to his friend Han Solo, the Jedi Order and to his home planet (the holographic photos of Solo, Yoda and Tarful on the wall), it served Coruscant's rich, inquistive and modern classes the most succulent poultry in the galaxy. Imperials, Jedi, Sith, Rebels, Wookies, Hutts alike were known to have visited this unique and famous establishment. Its food was only matched by its staggering views of the opera house and cityscape below.

House of Porgs is located on level 500 of the Uscru Empire Tower. Reservations or invitation only. Owner: Chewbacca. Style of Cuisine: Exotic Porg. Awards: 2 Twilek Stars. Entertainment: Mon Calamari Squid Lake, Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes, and multiple exotic Twilek dancer girls. Strictly no death sticks. Wookie custom requires patrons to refrain from walking carpet jokes which may result in arm breaking.
