What did Shimi Skywalker know and when did she know it?

If we assume that either Plagueis or Palpatine induced the midichorians to conceive Anakin, (and there seems to be considerable evidence that they may have played a role in conceiving Anakin) and combine this with Shimi`s statement in TPM that the midichorians conceived Anakin than by "connecting the dots" we realize that Shimi may have known about the role of the Sith in conceiving Anakin since she was Anakin`s mother. This begs the question: "What did Shimi Skywalker know and when did she know it?". In TPM Shimi announces that her son Anakin had no father and was conceived directly with the midichlorians. IF either Darth Plagueis or Palpatine induced the midichorians to create life why did the Sith use Shimi Skywalker as the incubator for Anakin. Shimi knew about the midichorians conceiving Anakin. Did she also know about what role the Sith played in Anakin`s conception? Is it even possible that Shimi was used by the Sith against her will to conceive Anakin(if this is true it would be tantamount to rape),and that she was somewhat embarrassed by the way in which Anakin was conceived and that is why she never told the FULL story of Anakin`s conception to Qui-Gon and Obi-wan in TPM. Seems to me that Shimi took alot of secrets to her grave and that she may have had alot to hide. All of these questions would make great spinoffs for the EU.

 

This is only IF the following are true, which we have no way to confirm:

1.) A Sith did indeed have this knowledge/power, and PAlaptine wasn't lying.
2.) Anakin was created in that way, not by the Will of the Force.
3.) Shmi knew how her son came into being.

How do we know the Sith chose Shmi? Darth Plagueis/Sidious could have used the Force to create another living being, but have no idea where in the galaxy the being was conceived. We have no idea how it works.

EDIT: And Shmi probably doesn't even know what a midichlorian is! She never mentioned them at all, she never said midichlorians conceived him, she only said "I can't explain what happened." It was Qui-gon who said once, to the Jedi Council, that he MAY have been conceived by midichlorians.
