those 12" clone troops were a let down for me i didnt grab one.... did that first guy inline ever find the r2 with the wrong legs?

R2D2, Luminaria Unduli, Jango Fett (Kamino Escape), Nikto Jedi, Saesee Tinn, Count Dooku electronic lightsaber, and a soundtrack. Not much selection, but I'll take what I can find. I'm waiting until the Con for the good figures.

When I left he had not found the R2D2 variance with the star on the leg, but he was very pleased with something else he found. He found a Jango Fett with a variance on the helmet. The "T" area on the front of the helmet is supposed to be shaded a dark blue, and he found one where the helmet was a solid color. He was going through each and every figure searching for variances last I saw him. I guess he should have gone to the other store to get the R2D2 variance.

I managed to complete my collection at lunch time. I picked up Yoda and Count Dooku.
I also picked up an extra Anakin (Hanger Duel) and an extra Clonetrooper.

Also, the Zam Wesell action figure has a pretty big spoiler too.

 

Let's see, what I got from Midnight Madness:
- Sore back from that heavy Pack
- heat exhaustion
- blindness from all the tv camera lights
- lack of sleep

.....oh wait... did I mention lack of sleep?

BUT my wallet survived! Didn't buy a thing. I just don't have the room any more....

well lQQk at it this way everybody's got three years to rest up before the next Star Wars MidNight Madness Toy Sale in 2005.

Were there any Darth Sidious or Supreme Chancellor Palpatine action figures? Hopely in the 12 inch size? [face_smile] I already have the 12 inch Emperor Palpatine.

 

I didn't see any Palpy figs at the Morena TRU, that isn't to say they weren't there though. There were a lot of figures the store on Morena did not get such as the Zam Wessel and Yoda which I particularly wanted.

 

No Sidious or Palpatine figures were released in the first wave.

I'm going to write a nasty-gram to Hasbro. There's no excuse for this. Releasing this figure before AOTC came out would be like releasing a sliced-in-half Darth Maul before Phantom Menace came out.

Also, nobody should read the back of the Yoda figure. There's a spoiler on the back of that one too.

What is this talk about a star leg on r2d2? Are you talking about a particular mark where the leg connects to the body? If so, I know where some are, but need to find out if this is the actual variation.

All I wanted was one but hay, if you had to chose between one Natalie and a threesome WHAT WOULD YOU DO!!!!!! ............................ don't juge me.

And I got the Jedi DEX/orginizer.
We all got to play god last night by geting to help hand out toys to are fellow fans. They were like starving children they even started to bite me arm!!!

is the variance a red star? or a grey cross like shape on the "joints" ive heard both and im not sure which to believe

The best place to find out about all the different variations is Sir Steve's http://sirstevesguide.com I noticed on there that there are Luminara, Zam Wessel, and other figures that have variations as well. Sir Steve's also has pics of the way the figure is supposed to look, and pics of the variation.

I want to know if the 12" clonetroopers are supposed to have yellowish armor above the knees. Two of the 3 I bought did. In all the pictures I've seen, they have only white armor.

 

I picked up nothing but dissapointment from TRU...but from Wal-Mart and Target I got 2 each of all 27 figures including all but 3 of the backdrop figures.

 

DarthBrian, I sympathize with you... I believe I saw that picture you are talking about that comes with the Anakin figure, except I saw a scan of it on theforce.net. I've seen two pictures of the same scene. The first time I saw it, I thought...well maybe someone just faked the photograph but the second picture I saw was actually the thing that came in the anakin figure. Man I am soooo pissed I wasn't fully warned of that IMMENSE spoiler.

 

i now have an amidala with the mole on her face and the back drop....

 

picked up a anakin hanger duel and looked for the dexter jettster with the pipe text... found lots with the backdrop and the text covered but none uncovered.... and i got a taun we figure too.... also picked up a couple of the sneak peek figures....
