At least some hint as to who or what Snoke is, and where he came from.
I'm hoping that will be revealed or at least even vaguely explained in VIII or IX.

 

What did I think would be in TFA before I saw it?
More of Luke and I thought Han and Leia would be closer in their relationship, rather than separated.

 

When it was first announced, I was pretty sure if Han, Luke, and Leia were in it, Lando would be in it, too. That obviously didn't come to pass.

 

I was expecting a reference or explaining where or what happened to him..

 

He hasn't even been announced for The Last Jedi. He has said he wants to be apart of it but they haven't asked to sign on. I don't understand why. If he isn't at least in Episode IX I'll be pissed. It'll be such a missed opportunity to have him back. Now that they killed off Han, and will probably the same to Leia in TLJ, they should bring him in by IX.

 

I don't know. Maybe they don't have a role for him to play in the story, and don't want to call him in for something as small as having a cameo in the background? If Leia has a funeral sequence, I feel it's only proper to include him.

I expected Tatooine or another notable planet mentioned in a previous movie or known to us. I should probably know not to expect that though.

I really expected to see Maz giving Leia her father's lightsaber (no, it's not Luke's), that would have been interesting to see what are her thoughts about her biological father at this time. I know there was a book but I prefer they show it in the movies.

So was LFL ready to just let the galaxy know Rey was Luke's daughter from the start of the ST?

Is Luke's quote Canon?

It's a line from ROTJ, so it's canon in a sense, I suppose.
