What do you people think of Watto's hat?

Come one people, let's hear what you think of Watto's latest fashion statement! I personally love it!

EDIT: Actually, I think it's rather lame. But it happens to be just about 2 in the morning, and I'm a bit delusional. Blame it on the flu, I say.

 

It looks like the hat Groucho Marx used to wear towards the end of his career...

Just a little note about the hat...

You know that this hat was part of the original art concept of Watto?

And that Andy Secombe during the filming of E1 was wearing a similar hat?

Actaully, I love the hat. I just thought I didn't. Like i told you, early morning delirium, people. And yes, I knew about the hat being a design concept, and that he wore it during filming. But a neat little tidbit, I must say. I guess what I can say is this: you gotta love hubcaps. Or maybe you don't.

 

I'd also post this in the spoilers forum, if I weren't too afraid that my virgin corneas would be scalded.

 

It's because Watto's lost hair during the last ten years, and he's trying to hide it...

If Watto starts shooting electricity out of his fingers and flys straight at people shouting... Well, I can't spell it. See, what I was /trying/ to do was make the obvious comparison to Rayden, from Mortal Kombat, but I failed miserably. I'll just go to the *Nsync thread and attempt to make some jokes there.

First the hat, now Nsync, this movie is gonna suck.

 

I think probably Andy Secombe wanted him to have the hat or something... Andy wears a similar hat like Watto´s from what i´ve seen!
I love the hat! anyway, why would people have something against a hat?

I think that I prefer the look of Watto without the hat, but what I really do like is the fact that ILM is making an effort to change the CGI characters enough, so they aren't identical from movie to movie. I think it would be extremely lame if none of our CG characters ever changed clothes.

I predict Watto's hat will become the fashion trend of 2002. After seeing Watto sporting one with such panache in AotC, everyone will want to own one.

I think Mace Windy made a great statement about the fact that mabye they are trying to change their appearances. I wonder if Jar Jar has a beard . It does make him look Chinese.

 

Well, I dunno about whiskers like Tarpals, but he does have nice long robes now.

 

The hat looks cool.We need more hats in Star Wars.

I think Watto is compensating for SOMETHING

 

Saving the best thread I've ever started!

 

It very similar to the concept drawings of Watto from TPM. I like the fact that they used it later on makes him look a bit more seedy.
