    Hei alle!

I usually post in Norway's forum or in Nordic fan force so some of you may recognize me from there :)

Anyway, I am probably going to visit Denmark next year for about 2 to 3 days. What would you recommend that I see while I am there?

Is there anything particularly "Danish" (besides a "Danish" which apparently you all call vienna bread?) foodwise that I should try or drink wise?

I thought of seeing the lego land thing and maybe seeing Hamlet's home.

Football club..... but I'd recomend seeing the usual things. The little Mermaid, Rundetårn, go shopping on Strøget, Amalienborg - but that's all in Copenhagen. Sounds like you're going to Jutland, that's where Lego Land is anyway, and that's a long way from Copenhagen. And try a danish hotdog - they're nothing like the ones you get in the US.

Yeah, and try to figure out what the word "hygge" means ;)

Its a special danish word, that cant be translated, without a longer explanation.

    Maybe it means "Nice"?

Like Hyggelig å treffe deg - Nice to meet you?

Thanks for the suggestions! What is the best (and cheapest) way to get around denmark? Bus, boats, snorkel and a floaty ring :D?

What is Rugbrød? I know (or assume rather) that brød is bread because that is how the Norwegians say it.

Not sure about the "Rug"? If it is the same as in english "rug bread" doesn't sound to appetizing :p

I guess Ropa Vieja (Translates to Old Clothes) doesn't sound to appetizing either.

The cheapest way is, of course, walking.
I assume you are not gonna do that so I suggest trains and busses.

Walking is fine but 5km is about it. Do the Danes have a "mile"?

For example a Swedish Mile is 10km. Whereas an American mile is a little over 2km. If your walking changes by a factor of 5 that can be quite alarming.

No, we use the metric system and only that.

I know. Norway and Sweden use the metric system it is just that they use the term mile to define a length of 10km. So 10 miles is 100km.

I just wanted to make sure the Danes do not have a similar term. My metric units are a little weak so I should brush up on that before I go :).
