Vancouver What do you think of the Classic Trilogy DVDs?

OK, only the first three responses are valid...

My opinion is one of rage at the changes that were made. Especially Han DODGING! What a pile of crap! I'm so mad at George Lucas. Thanks for ruining a cherished childhood memory!

I thought they were great. I love the amount of detail that you can see with these new releases. I've only viewed them on my pc as I lack a "home theatre experience", but overall it was well worth it. As far as the changes go, I'm fairly indifferent to the SE changes now; I don't mind that they're there, but I also wouldn't mind if they were gone. The changes made specifically for the DVD release are so minor I really don't understand why some people are so upset with them.

Regarding the extras, to me these are just appetizers before the entrée. It was cool to see some of the actors like Ford, Hammill, Fisher, Oz, Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Billy Dee Williams, and others offer their opinions these many years later. But I don't think Ian McDiarmid was interviewed at all, which was a little disappointing.

Overall, two thumbs way up!
