The Prequels are not the worst movies to have ever come out, but they have become disappointing for me as I have aged. I'll see if my opinion changes in the next few months and post here again.

Considering the sequels all blew chunks I would say it isn't nearly as deep.

That doesn't mean anything. That only means if you got ideas for one good story but not two, just tell the one good story and don't ruin the rest. Any number of books, movies and plays are deep literature and culture, but who wants a sequel to something like Henry V, Moby Dick or Citizen Kane?

When I first saw TPM, I was amazed at how much it felt like goint to the OT movies for the first time, and how fresh and exciting if felt at the same time. Over the years I've had to endure hearing many small-minded criticizims of it was well as legitimiate, weel thought out critiques. But all the same, every time I watch it, I enjoy it immensely. It's not perfect, but then again no movie is. I personally like it just as much as I like ESB. It's one of my favorite movies. It's also the only movie I've ever slept outside to get tickets to.

When I first saw it, I thought it was atrocious, an insult to the original movies. Over the years I've definately softened towards it, and now I can watch it and enjoy some of the good things it has, rather then obsessing over the crapiness of Jar Jar and Jake Lloyd. Still, I dont know what George was thinking. It feels more like a Star Wars spin-off kids movie then a part of the saga.

I think TPM gets better as time goes by. IMO it is particularly better since AOTC, fingers crossed for Ep3 :D

For some bizarre reason I feel compelled to attempt to watch Episode I before the week is up. When I watch Episode I, should I release my sadness at the weak characters and just take Episode I for what it is? :)

I wonder if people will ever say, ?Let?s hear about how bad the Prequels are.? And they?ll say, ?no, I don't want to depress myself. George Lucas forgot all about his characters, didn' he, dad? ?Yes, my boy, the most laziest of writers and directors. And that?s saying a lot.?

Silence. Keep your forked tongue behind your teeth. I have not passed through promotion and colours to bandy crooked words with a bashing poster.

I thought TPM was an amazing film then and I think it's an amazing film now. In short, nothing has changed.

    In short, nothing has changed.

Except the amount of times I have seen STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE. :)

    Once great, always great.

That is how I viewed TPM when I saw it on May 1999, and that is how I view it now. Like any film, it does have its weak points with the ocassional bad line and what not, but what film doesn't?

I haven't seen it in about two years and am not too compelled to watch it.

I loved the movie when it first came out. But about two years later I relized what a piece of **** it was. Now all i want from Lucas is the OT ( non SE! ) on DVD.
