Seconded. That would be a great way to redeem the character.

Also love Ewan as Obi-Wan's ghost...but only if he's in makeup to resemble Sir Alec.

However, your opinion on Maul's resurrection is heresy of the foulest sort! :p

Meh. They just don't want to admit the girls have been there all along. ;) And just because I finally found a copy of this article, I'll just leave it here...

Read the entire article here: http://fanlore.org/wiki/Where_the_Boys_Are_(article) The general gist is the author's speculation that women tend to be more creative because they do it for the love of fandom, whereas men are expected to "turn a profit" in everything they do, and fanfiction simply isn't profitable. Also, male fans are hindered by the lack of female characters (other than Leia) as love interests! :D

    And a little explanation:

Here's what I want to see as a standalone movie...Kenobi. Starring Ewan McGregor. :D

Or actually, make it an animated movie starring James Arnold Taylor. That would work too. :)

    - Rutger Hauer as a Roy Baty type bad guy.
    - A Super Star Destroyer verses Super Star Destroyer-type space battle.
    - If we see Coruscant, let's see the deep down underbelly side that never sees sunlight.
    - Luke or Leia having a Darth Vader centered dream/hallucination/vision.(Or better still, with or about one of their children)
    - An Ewok flying an X-Wing. Yub Yub!

It would be cool, considering the December release date, if they went to a civilized planet with a snowy environment. They could even add snow to an existing planet like Coruscant and ditch the uniform planetary climates.

Many great ideas and with what we know of now, many of these still have a chance. Let's not forget, we don't just have "The Force Awakens", we have many spinoffs that will include many of what we want to see. That being said.....here's my list:

    1) The classic 3 plus Lando but not overshadowing movie and letting a younger, new generation take lead. (someone earlier said have Han & Chewy maybe die honorably, but pass on the Falcon before that happens).
2)Less is more. As stated earlier as well. We don't need over the top cgi when you have the force, you have everything you need no matter how miniscule.
3)Jedi and Sith. The battle must go on, but again, not just the center stage as other characters and their ability to overcome their fears and help one another should be the center plot. We should see more detail Jedi lightsaber duels since the PT was a letdown for this.
4)Include at least ONE bounty hunter from the OT. Two are robots and us Trandoshans are known to last a long time so anything is possible. I would like to see Boba Fett, but a spinoff would suffice. (also some form of the Royal Guard would be great)
5)Big space battle. A must, it's Star Wars after all. Somehow keep it from topping ROTJ though if possible :)
6)Cool background characters, one's we will cherish, most that are non cgi.
7)Don't need anymore cloned OT characters
8)Conversations about the past and the OT will be the most beneficial moving forward. Get the younger generation to want to see the PT/OT and include their older relatives to watch it and explain it with them!!

I'd like to see Luke in robes like Kenobi, an amazing looking alien race, Jedi Council Members in the New Republic (which can then be expanded upon), a new form of the Delta ships, R2-D2's lover (you read that right, albiet it would be better if it was minor), Quermians, Ongree, an inventive way to bring together Rebels, the OT, the PT, and the Clone Wars, and a new planet or two. Oh, bring on the wampas. You can never have too many of them.

    1) A divided Galaxy in chaos (things did not get better after ROTJ in someways they got worse).
    2) No rebuilt Jedi Order no organized order of any kind I want the Force to be something old men talk about but that young men roll their eyes at.
    3) A Strong Female like Leia but even stronger and more independent
    4) Someone going from bad to good.
    5) Someone going from good to bad.
    6) The Empire and the Alliance
    7) Further delving into the force light and dark and the consequences of the power of the force. Even the discussion of if the galaxy would be better off without the force?
    8) An Ancient Sith Lord who knows things about the force that our hero's could only dream of to make the darkside more tantalizing to the hero's.
    9) All powerful Luke Skywalker who is the most power force wielder to ever live.
    10) Mara Jade and Admiral Thrawn (save Thrawn for Episode 8)
    11) I want a good love story and a hero's journey.
    12) I want two friends who start out the best of buds but by the end of Episode 9 or even Episode 12 they are bitter rivals maybe one or the other is not bad but they both have different views of how the galaxy should be and that puts them in each others cross fires.
    13) A Jedi Civil war down the road coming from the death of Luke making different Jedi believe that things should be run a certain way causing a divide in the order.

I would like to see a truly savage, no holds barred, medieval type of lightsaber duel. Things start out gracefully enough, with the opponents judging each other and so on and slowly degenerates into a very intense physical deathmatch filled with all sorts of dirty tricks. It shouldn't look choreographed, just have them go at it and beat each other senseless.

Even more fun if it ends in a stalemate, the villain or the hero escapes and both stay alive to fight another day.

    1. New Jedi Order
    2. Leia as Chief of State (or whoever they're going to call the New Republic's leader)
    3. General Han Solo
    4. Over the top force powers (like in the 2003 Clone Wars and Force Unleashed)
    5. Imperial Remnant
    6. A new take on the Sith
    7. A storyline that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats
    8. An intriguing plot twist
    9. Solo and Skywalker children
    10. Lando as a businessman who helped contribute to rebuilding the galaxy (Although that might be explored in Episode 8)
    11. Maybe a scene with Jar Jar frozen in carbonite

A film that perfectly sets up a trilogy that's going to follow and build on the story and galaxy established in the two previous trilogies.

    Not a complete list:

    - A huge battle on a planet completely covered in water between Jedi Knights & Imperial troops in water gear. Maybe the Jedi & the Imperials could ride huge water lizards, like in those late '70's Marvel SW comics..

    - Gwendoline C. playing a bad a$$ Imperial Trooper, with a lightsaber

I definitely do not want to see Obi-Wan or Anakin. It will feel awkward to have Ewan or Hayden Christensen. And besides, there's nothing they could say which Yoda couldn't say.
