What does everyone do for a living?

I live in a quiet area.

Ok fine. It's not too quiet here, but I make up for that with the fact that I'm so close to santa claus, I'm one of the first on his list.

Sorry bub, but though yours is greener longer, mine is far greener in the spring, than yours. AND, there's more of it. If I paid for a plane ticket, and you came up here, you'd sell your house and move to the good old state of alaska. Just a matter of Opinion. Though, 3 of my best friends lived in other states, came to alaska on vacation, and moved here. One of those three friends, (Todd Rogers) actually moved here from Hawaii!

Home is only a bit less than two hours away from Roanoke. In fact, when I come home for Spring Break tomorrow, I'll be flying into Roanoke.

My mother and brother both lived in Roanoke for a couple of years. My mother lived a few miles from the bottom of the mountain with that big star on it.
Nice area. Very quiet.
Yep, great place to raise kids (for the most part) but also not too far country. If we want to go "downtown" it's only 10 minutes from our house, but I can still look up at night and see the stars (no streetlights). Oh, and if you are passing through... Definitely take the time to go see the "roanoke star", it's beautiful up there.

There aren't any good jobs around here. Especially anything in video/fx/etc. I'd be lucky to work at Staples.

gonna try contract construction work for a bit and see how I do. If my body heals up ahead of schedule I may pick up a sword again somewhere else. other than that there is no work out there for me. I suppose if I lived in Florida it would be a different story. Plenty of tourist attractions there.

 

I WAS a photographer for The Knot, Inc. Go there and check out those products! Some of those photos are mine! The mug with the chrome coffee baggie was the last thing I ever shot there... *wipes tear away* But yeah, the Creative Department was moved out of state, so *poof*, there my job went. Very sad. Now I'm a free-lance loafer, as the job market in Redding could suck a golf ball through fifty feet of garden hose...

 

hmmm. I wish I could make a living off FX work. But like I said before, most of my free time is spent sleeping or eating.
