What does GL have to put in Ep3 to make YOU the fan boy complete?

I mainly want to leave the theater understanding exactly why Anakin turns to the Dark Side, and I want it to be a reason I can understand and appreciate--that will make his redemption most meaningful. When the audience understands why a hero has fallen in the first place, it becomes more significant to the audience that the hero is redeemed.

I don't have to see Padme die, in fact I would rather not, although I would like to know what happens to her.

I don't have to see the Jedi Purge. I don't want a horror movie.

 

How about Datooine? Does that ring a bell to anyone. I think id be neat if he fit that one in.

I want GL to put lots of good deep human drama in ep 3 - I want GL to make me cry from seeing the tragedy of Obi Wan and Anakin and of Padme and Anakin, when they see what is happening / has happened to Anakin. I want to see Anakin's anguish and confusion.

think of the great drama moments we love: Luke gazing at the setting suns, "I am your father," "My hands are dirty," Luke & Vader's duel on DS2, the first kiss in AOTC, the look on Obi Wan's face when Darth Maul stabs Qui Gon in the heart.

ok stuff like that is what I want to see.

1)Even more overwhelming version of "the Imperial March" than that in the end of AotC
2)Painful Death of JarJar
3)More screentime for Palpatine!!!

Come to think of it, I would like it best if Palpatine manipulated Anakin into thinking she was the cause of all his problems (and she may well be, since his marriage to her is going to create a rift in his relationship with the Jedi) and Anakin/Vader ended up killing her.

I know that's not going to happen, though.

 

Well, we should get the explanation of Sifo-Dyas (yes!) and the Obi-Wan vs Anakin/Vader duel (YES!), and hopefully we'll find out why he chose the name Ben and when & why he started using it. I think we're going to see a lot of people die, cause they kinda need to kill.... well... everyone! If he leaves people alive, they have to kill them off in books & thats no fun!
Also, Ive really missed the cool multi ship space battles from the OT, so hopefully they do more ROTJ type stuff. Remember Ben about Anakin; "He was the best starpilot in the galaxy."
I want to see more of that. TPM was cool & all, but lets get the kid into a ship again!
Preferably a Tie Fighter.

Nice thread! There are many things that have been overlooked and probably won't make much sense when you see the whole thing back to back but the one thing I want cleared up in Episode III is:-

Why isn't Qui Gon mentioned in the OT at all and why did Obi Wan take the resposibility for Vader? Remember:-
"I took it UPON MYSELF to train him as a Jedi." we all know that this isn't true so I just want Episode III to put this to rights as it is quite a major loophole in the overall story.

Qui Gon discovered the boy and not Obi Wan.

some significant scenes with Bail Organa. I love Jimmy Smits! Not enough of him in AOTC. with all this, Ep. 3 may end up being 4 1/2 hours long. That's okay as long as it flows as smoothly as AOTC did!

The only thing I think I really *need* to see is the epic duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin. It may not be exactly as I, or any of us, envisioned exactly?but it needs to be there.

Everyone talks about Ep.3 and Ep.4 "blending" together, but don't get your hopes up too high. Ep.3 will take place 20 years before Ep.4 at the earliest. We may not see much of a Jedi purge, if we see one at all. GL has always said that it's the stories themselves that will flow into one another, not necessarily the look of the movies. I wouldn't expect to see TIEs or Star Destroyers or X-Wings, except maybe at the very end of the movie.

The EU should be able to pick up nicely where Ep.3 leaves off, so the "extra" stories will be told in comic book, novel, or video game form for those who want to know.

Also I would like to see Jar-jar and mace die a hero. Jar-jar has messed so many things up I would like to see him be a hero for once, even if it cost him his life.
