Plagueis the Wise? Shirley, you can't be serious.:p

Yeah, he was only the Magister, I meant, Master of Darth Sidious. And who was he? Nobody important to the saga, I can assure you.;)

Keep going, this gets better with each new addition to your list.[face_party]

This may or may not be a possibility, but I would actually like to NOT see the Imperial fleet in any way, shape or form. Nothing to do with the empire!

Just as the Clone Wars were treated as historical backstory in the OT, I would love for the ST to treat the Empire the same way here-basically as a memory, on occasion referred to, but that's it. A history of a bygone era. If Episode VII really is supposed to take place 30-40 years later, I'd imagine that to be quite doable...

Maybe even connecting the Skywalkers to it somehow..."The Skywalker Era," or something...(which would of course have to mean that the galaxy then had learned not only about what Luke and Leia did, but also that Vader was Anakin....) Perhaps also hearing stories about all the heroic adventures the Skywalker twins could have had together after ROTJ in the decades before Episode VII, while helping to rebuild the Jedi, and help the galaxy-having sort of become galactic legends, so to speak...that could be interesting!

Either way, it's definately time for a fresh new story with fresh new antagonists!

-No more lightsabers. The OT had exactly three lightsaber duels. That was the perfect amount. I don't ever want to see something like the lightsaber battle in the arena of AOTC again. Horrible. But I guess that cat's already well out of the bag.

-No dark side turning. Period. We had enough of that in the first six.

-Leia's gold bikini. I don't care if they put it on Jabba and make him dance a jig. It'll still work.

    -No jar jar. Or gungans.

-No ewoks. Unless they are being slaughtered by the hundreds and never appear again. In fact, same goes for gungans. I'd enjoy watching jar jar die.

-No political intrigue. Keep it simple please.

-No darth vader, no emperor, no empire.

-Dark jedi or sith are fine.

Dark jedi or sith are fine, yet you want no lightsaber fights. Contradictory much?

    But average audience member doesn't.

    Maybe?

It's not unlikely he is the villain. But at the moment he is about as important as Zam Wessel, which is what I originally said.

We'll see and that's exciting. BTW I'm intrigued by the possibilities of other related antagonists. If Plagueis or Sids are the ST villain(s) I'm less sure and really interested in the identity of the cohorts. Who will they (Dark Lords) use to assist them in implementing their plans?

If you read the rest of the sentence it becomes clear that I didn't mean no lightsabers at all, just fewer appearances.

Fair enough, but I did say that the three duels in the OT were the perfect amount of duels and this would apply that I would like to see a similar amount in the ST.

The two duals in TPM were both good. The two duals in RotS were both good. Even if we discard what you don't like from AotC, that's still more than we had in the OT. And I hardly see that as a problem.

With the exception of 'Dark Jedi and Sith' - they already made this movie - it's called 'Star Trek'.

I just had a thought. Since JJ is directing this movie and stuff, will he be okay with George's eventual tinkering later on? Or will he say NO, bad George!
