Oceania What DVD's do you own

When will you know you own enough DVDs?

 

When they start releasing movies in a new and better format.

 

When that day comes, I hope I get more for my old dvds than I got when I sold all my videos

 

Keep them in storage for 50 years, then sell them for a fortune in mint condition to a collector.

 

heheh i only borrow DVDs that aren't SW or LotR from my sister

 

Are these still available in Australia, i'd prefer to have them as region 4 discs:

The Lost Boys
Strange Days
Gattaca
Contact
Planet of the Apes (original)
Planet of the Apes, 2 Disc (Burton)
Braveheart
Rob Roy
Memphis Belle

I also want to know if Australia ever got:
Terminator 2(deluxe ed or whatever it was)
Highlander, 2 Disc (has Queen videos among other features)

 

we still have all of those but we haven't got the T2 and Highlander special editions yet

I don't think we'll ever get the good highlander set seeing the one-disc version was only recently released.

 

Thanks Luigi. I'm trying to pick up a bunch of stuff here that I can't get back home. Despite Grieyls claims that you notice PAL quality oover NTSC, and that the studios (or distributors, or whoever is responsible) will get around to the Collectors Editions eventually.

He might be right though. You did get the Interview with the Vampire one eventually. Not that it was especially "Special".

Did you ever get the 2 Disc Crow?

 

nope and I have NTSC and PAL stuff and the difference is tiny.

Minority Report in my opinion was one of the best films of 2002.

And the customer didn't return it...?

Just added Minority Report to my ever growing list of DVDs.

Gonna give it a break for a while now, nothing new coming out that I desperately want for a month or so anyway. This will please Nicole (my wife) that's for sure!

Seriously, aren't some of us a little addicted to buying DVDs? How many times will you be able to watch this? I barely got through a single viewing.

 

I added Minority Report to my list yesterday.

Oh yeah, and all you people with the 24 Season 1 Box, have you had any trouble playing Disc 3? Mine decided that it wasn't going to spin in the player but instead rattle about. Apparently this has happened to some other people aswell. I managed to swap for a new one at JB though. Hopefully this one will work properly.

 

Otter, you guessed it, I am addicted!

Hmmm... what are the major releases that I am interested in this year?
