The Gattaca DVD is also the only double sided DVD I've ever come across.

Yeah, they're rare, aren't they? I'm not positive, but I think that the DVD of A Bug's Life is 2-sided, with the widescreen version on one side and the fullscreen on the other. But I could be wrong.

And yeah, Gattaca is a good movie, isn't it? Saw it on TV a while back and quite liked it.

    You are correct.
    Lethal Weapon 4 is double-sided.

    Oops.

Bigbossnass, that should be "Star Trek: Generations".

    They're confusing ;).

    Two-sided DVD? Nice.

A number of the early Warner Bros DVD came double sided. Widescreen on one and Pan and Scan on the other.

Maybe George should look at doing this for the Original Trilogy, the original theatrical release on one side and the Special edition on the other. This would please many fans, me for one. :D

Double-sided discs are too easily damaged.

He should, but he won't. He's said many times that his intention is that th originals be stricken from the record. As sad as that is, it's already happened, and the DVD release is only going to cement it. :(

It's be cheaper for George to film the damm trilogy again the way he's going! There are plenty of B-grade nobodies around just waiting for their break!

But isn't Pete talking about changing Gollum in Fellowship?

I hadn't heard about that. I know on the comentary he said that Gollum looks different in Fellowship because they hadn't finished him yet, but I haven't heard any talk about changing it.

In other news, I bought Flying High on DVD the other day. :D Thank god that's finally out here. It's been available in America for years. Funny funny movie.

I did indeed notice that Gollum in Fellowship looked different to the Gollum in Two Towers. Its funny how sequals cause major physiological mutations! Is there any biological reason for that Otter?

By the way: Is anyone willing to donate money to the 'Marvin Star Trek Benevolent Fund' to help poor 20 year old boys purchase Star Trek DVDs? :D
