I had heard that Spielberg wanted to do his first-ever Audio Commentary for the release of the trilogy. Unfortunately Lucas will be knee deep in Ep3 by that stage.

    Check out:

    theraider.net

There are a number of other sites that have similar rumours too. I just did a search on "Indiana Jones DVD".

From what I've heard Paramount want to release them as a trilogy, similar to the Back to the Future release, but Spielberg wants to release them as individual movies.

Personally I'd like to see them as individual releases each movie a 2 disc set. Maybe a 3 disc for Raiders. ;)

Ezydvd have also added X-Men 1.5 to there Upcoming releases. This is the deluxe 2 disc version of the first X-Men movie. Looks pretty good too!! :D

I hope they come out separately too, because I'm not sure I really want to get Temple of Doom. I dunno. I'll think about it, and if they do only come out in a boxed set then of course I'll get it, but still. The only REALLY good part of ToD is the first 15 minutes or so. It's the old rule: when it's on TV, you watch till the first ad break (which always comes just after they've jumped out of the plane in the rubber boat), then switch over to something else.

Bossnass, do like movies about gladiators?
Surely you can't be serious, Luigi. ;)

That joke doesn't really work if you put my name at the end. :p

and I agree that TOD is the weakest of the Trilogy but I still love it!

    chilled monkey brains?

I think if they did something similur to the new Alien set (9 discs!) it would be pretty cool :)

New information about the Alien set, from IGN.com:

February 25, 2003 - We always get emails from users in the US asking for a good source of DVDs from Canada, such as the Smallville Pilot or the three-disc Brotherhood of the Wolf. Well, I've always used DV-Depot, and although they are small, they have always been very reliable.

Today, Christian of the Depot made a post on their customer service boards that spilled the beans on the upcoming nine-disc Alien Quadrilogy set. Now, this is not confirmed until Fox officially announces it, but these are the possible details on the set:

"Alien: will include 14 deleted scenes for a total of 15
    more minutes of the movie.

Aliens: will allow viewers to choose between the Theatrical version, which has never been available on DVD before, and the Cameron, Director's cut

Alien 3: will include David Fincher's 2 hr. 50 min original version of the movie, which has never been released.

Alien Resurrection: will feature an alternate opening and ending (crash on Earth).

And for the 9th bonus disc, which will include over 3 hours of material:

Alien Legacy - Was a free mail-in offer
    Alien Evolution - BBC Documentary
    Darkhorse Alien Comics
    Darkhorse Alien vs. Predator
Complete Laser Disc features - so can throw away laser discs and have everything imaginable in this boxset
    DVD-ROM

    September 2003
Remember all DVD contents/extras and release date is subject to change "

Again, this isn't confirmed until Fox says so, but it will be mighty cool if that is what the set holds.

As usual, we'll keep you posted with any developments.

    New Alien3 cut? YEAAAAAAH BABY! :) :)

stinky, if you are after Brotherhood Of the Wolf, just go import it, guaranteed to be better than whatever they release in australia, i'm just thinking about what they could cut out and think they could get away with.

french dts with english subbies is the only way, and the interviews are an absolute hoot, check out the way Christophe Gans pays out GL for overuse of computer graphics, top stuff.

And a :p to those who didn't buy the currently released set and won't have theatrical editions for all these "special" editions.

Oh, you can still get it? [face_blush]

The ending sounds cool, but I don't know why they need to change the opening. Worked just fine for me.
