What exactly is 'Fanforce'?

Please enlighten me, I've been here for months and am now venturing into new waters.

 

I am quoting from our website..

"FanForce is the physical, grass-roots extension of TheForce.Net's global, online presence. As an extension of TFN, FanForce is about getting all fans together and helping them meet and interact with other fans in their "physical" community. If there is a convention, free movie screening, and/or a book signing, TFN wants to see all TFN users in that particular area get together as a group, a FANFORCE, and take part in the event. If a local group of fans just wants to plan their own event (movie viewing, Star Wars videos, restaurant outing, or a camp-out/line-up for Episode II & III), then we want to give you the opportunity to do it as a TFN FanForce. Basically, FanForce is a place to go and visit a forum in your area to meet other SW fans locally. We are all about meeting up with each other in the offline world and preparing for lining up for Episode 2. We also like to bring SW back to the community by encouraging chapters to become involved with local charities.

Star Wars has brought many fans together who have become life-long friends. We wanted to provide everyone the means and the place to make these friendships as well.

I'm starting to wonder about you gang, it seems there's a shortage of the green stuff. Perhaps a FF lemondae stand would help. Let me call GL and see if we can use the rebel logo on the cups!
