ST What Force artifact in IX will Call out to Rey?

In TFA it was the saber. In TLJ it was the Ancient Jedi texts. In both cases it’s they brought her in with sounds and she’s ended up taking them. Do you think it will happen again in IX?

 

I think since we all assume Luke is coming back as a force ghost. So Rey meeting Force ghost (Luke) is such an event.

Rey's never met a Force ghost before, remember.

For us, the viewer, this is old hat. But not for Rey.

Hopefully, lightsabers and books calling out to her, has prepped her for this.

 

Wow. For everything I picked up in TLJ this is the first time I've seen the lightsaber "calling" Rey as basically the same beast as the texts "calling" her as well.

So this is a theme. Wow. Seriously, thanks. Because I still felt like Anakin's lightsaber calling Rey, in the light of TLJ, was a loose thread hanging. So it's not even about that particular Skywalker artifact. Rey has the ability to be called by inanimate objects that are deeply associated with Jedi/Force.

 

She's now got a lightsaber, the Jedi books and now the padavans call out for her.

Why not just have the little boy be called by Force things now? He can be called by something Force related and meet up with Rey. Then millions of others and Rey can do the Oprah thing "Youre a Jedi!, Youre a Jedi!, Everyone's a Jedi!!!!!!"

 

Part of me hopes Rey finds Luke's green saber, but I don't believe it will happen.

Would be interesting to see her go to the former Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Attempting to gain any intel on the Unknown Regions.

 

Next it'll be Luke's severed hand. How? Sign language.

 

Han Solo's bones. In a thousand years, he will be worth something.

 

It would have to be another something on her path of restarting the Jedi. I just can't think of what that would be. Some artifact pertaining to "balance" somehow?

Vader's helmet would be interesting (though not necessarily fitting in with the above). It would be nice to get the opinion of a sane person on this helmet that um shows Kylo things.

 

I'm thinking Rey will feel something in her pocket and she'll ask, "what's this?" and when she opens up her hand it'll be that little plastic snake that came with the original Yoda action figure.

 

Maybe the Vader sabre, then she can break that and make her staff some double bladed red-blue icon of balance.

 

No, don't degrade Yoda to an artifact.

Time that Yoda gets into contact with Rey.

 

With 9, I just continue to think how this movie will connect with the rest of the saga and trilogy. So I'm thinking of something we've already seen. Any on screen PT relics that stand out to anyone?
