I, like most of us, want several different kinds of Books, But I'm Going Mostly for Graphic Novels (and Comics too)

    by the way:
By Comics I mean the comic books usually run from 20-50 Pages.
Graphic Novels are much longer comics, some times they are a collection of 3-6 comic books and often run from 80-200 pages.

Just for Anyone who didn't know the difference.

Although I own a few Trade Paperbacks/Graphic Novels, I like the individual comics mostly because of the covers, sometimes. Although the covers are usually printed in the back, sometimes it's just not the same :D

yes, I agree, the comics are usually better, but if you grab a comic book then you may end up with one issue of a mini series without knowing what happens.

Good point. I also prefer the comics to graphic novel reprints, but here I'll be throwing elbows and knocking over the kids ;) trying to get graphic novels.

I went with graphic novels. If the books are in other languages and I grab a novel I'll just have a cover to look at. If I grab a comic I just have an issue... (although in this case it wouldn't matter if I didn't have the next one as I wouldn't be able to read it anyway :p).... so with the graphic novels you get a lot of art and such. :)

The graphic novel is so cool. I read about one third of it today at lunch. I was getting them ready for tuesay. The light saber pen is really neat.

I'll be going for stat books and anything with good pictures of SW hardware. Sometimes you really have to hunt to find good pictures that can be used as model building and painting references.

I'm going after everything. I think it'd be great to have some foreign SW books. I like the Essential guides, along with other Data/Facts/Stats books. I'm going after everything besides the regular novels first.

(Of course, I have family members going with me who aren't huge SW fans, so I can get a little bit of everything ;) No, I wouldn't cheat any of you out of books by doing that.)

It makes me wonder though. The post says "over 10,000 books", but they are expecting 30,000 people to go to C2. Let's say that maybe only 15,000 are die-hard fans (the rest are either from Indy and just curious, or are being dragged along by kids/parents/spouse/friends). Even if only half of these die-hard fans want books, that's less than two books each. Doesn't sound very reassuring. I think I'm gonna be there right when they open, besides, the selection will be better then too.

Someone please help me out with the 'free books'. Are they giving away books at C2?

Here's the link for ya :)
    http://www.starwars.com/community/news/2002/04/news20020419.html

It seems that most of the books will be in other languages. I'm going for Spanish novels - since I'm learning and could really use something I'd actually read to boost me along :)

stats and facts books, those are the most expensive and the ones I dont have any of. I have all the novels, and comic books dont interest me at all.

Seriously, anybody know what the dealers think of this? I doubt to many of them are happy.
