Morrowind; with the 2 official expansions (I was a beta tester for Bloodmoon, also) plus the myriad of user created mods, I spent over a year just on that one game. I'm hoping Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be just as addicting and time consuming.

I honestly don't know, but if I had to hazard a guess I'd say "Super Mario Bros.".

Civilization II. Purchased it in '95 (I think) and haven't stopped playing since then. When the Gold expansion pack came out, I was hooked for life. I played every single one of the dozens of scenarios enough times to memorize the movements of the AI factions in a handful of the scenarios down to the smallest details over the course of the entire game.

The cheat menu and scenario editor weren't half bad, and certainly made many of the games much more interesting. I once played through the entire Napoleonic War as every faction in the world simultaneously.

Goldeneye for the N64 or Sensible Soccer for the Amiga.

Goldeneye probably, which still holds its own today. Too many hours to even attempt to count.
