Deus Ex, Half Life Generations, StarCraft and GTA Vice City.

That's a pretty decent variation of the Best PC Games at the moment, most of which are at white label prices.

Maybe the new teletubbies game is more you speed then. Haha, just kidding dude, since you don't want any RPG recommendations, I'd say Starcraft or Jedi Outcast.

I recommend Warcraft III (best RTS game around, IMHO), or Jedi Outcast. Or, you can wait a few months and get Jedi Academy.

There's Homeworld, Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six: Raven Shield. I also hear great things about Command And Conquer: Generals. And if you have the money and no one's looking when you're buying, do treat yoursef with GTA: Vice City.

    Best.

    Game.

    Evah. [face_devil] :D

By saying "top of the line"...what are your systems specs?

Rise of Nations. It's new so it still has the 50 buck price tag, but it's worth it. Singleplayer is quite fun, and with your connection it looks like that's all you'll be able to do without some latency issues.

If not that, get Warcraft III if you enjoyed Starcraft. The expansion comes out in a month, so sometime after that they'll probably have them boxed together for a lower price than normal. If you can hold onto your money or wait that long that might be your best bet.

Also Freelancer is a nice single player jump in anytime type of game.

I dunno, you're right, there are to many choices. Have fun.

    Great Story AND an FPS?

    *cough*Deus Ex*cough*

Or perhaps No One Lives Forever 2, it does'nt have the 18 certificate the first game carried, and it's a rather gleeful blend of Stealth Based FPS and an incredibly cheesy and well devised plot.

About you being 14, unless your parents enforce it, or your state is stupid, it's legal to sell M games to minors, so there's some store (not Target of Wal-Mart of course) that will sell you an M game.

I hear Planet Side is suppost to be pretty good. I think its mostly online though so playing with a 56k might be a little laggy at times but you'll still live. its kinda hard to recomend things with good stories most of those kinda games are usually RPG's Raven Sheild is good but again its rated M. If you want to get M rated games it really isn't that hard a lot of stores will sell them to you like EB. Also if your REALLY determined, get to know the people that work at the stores and if they know you they most likely will sell you anything (accept the really bad ones). Oh, one more idea, Comand and Conquer Generals is good.

    Forcebewitya!

Freelancer isn't all that great. It's fun, and had a good story, but theres not a lot of replay value and get bored of it after a month or two.
Possibly Knights of the old republic or Warcraft III would be good for you.
