What happened to Cliegg Lars?

Unless Luke innocently and accidentally took his Uncle out on a hunting trip.

Cliegg Lars was out hunting Sandpeople when he got hit by a Pod during a semi final of the pod races...

The driver was later arrested for "Failure to stop at the scene of an accident."

 

He probably just couldnt live without C3P0 and his special skills!

 

I think Owen and Beru keep Cleig locked in the basement of their place. They give him daily amounts of blue milk and cheeto's to sustain nurishment. Basically he just sits there and mumbles to himself while reading a steady diet of alien space porn.

 

A womp rat peed in their water system, and he ingested wayyy too much one night. By the time that Owen and Beru found him (they were doing the hippity dippity in the tool shed) he was beyond their help. He even muttered at one point, "I see Blue...he looks GLORIOUS!" It was a sad day for the Lars'...but Owen inherited the farm, and Beru didn't have to hide from Cliegg anymore when she wanted to roll around naked in the sand anymore...so everybody made out really decently.

Also, Owen had Shmi's body exumed and moved to the Jundland Wastes. He never truly liked her anyway, which is why the tombstone is not seen in ANH. He actually planted it out in the wastes, and over time, the lack of moisture in her system caused her bones to elongate, which is why C3PO looks so small when he's wandering on Tatooine and falls upon her bones, often erroneously thought to be a Krayt Dragon's skeletal structure...it is really Shmi's.

 

Maybe he wandered into a little room on a cruiser ship like the one Obi Wan was hiding in on Padme's Cruiser except he couldn't get out again cause he didn't have the Force to open and shut it with. Cliegg's little skeleton is propped up in a closet type small space on a cruiser somewhere out in the Galaxy.

 

Cliegg Lars played the xyla base (a electronic wind instrument) in a band that toured Tatooine called the "Tatoos" for a few years. He played regular gigs at the Cantina before really hitting the big time and playing at the Pod Race after party celebrations. Towards the end of his career he did some private party hire work centre stage at The Hutts. He disappeared into obscurity upon retirement soon after.

Footnote: Urban legend suggests he was thrown to a rancour after a particularly average performance that witnesses described as 'breathy'

A) Joined the Hutt organization, currently aids bounty hunters with body clean up, B)Is the new announcer in Mos Espa for the podraces, C) Became a barfly in the Mos Eisley cantina, D) Died due to a death stick overdose.

 

Obviously some time between AOTC and ANH, Cliegg must pass away (of natural causes I presume)

 

He died in a bizarre gardening accident. One that the authorities decided was best left unsolved.

 

He died whilst being held in a Tatooine prison. Unfortunately his midnight antics with a Eopie didn't go down too well with the local constabulary.

Reports suggest that to prevent further embarrassment to the Lars name he took his own life before the trial. Thankfully (for the galaxy) the Lars family were able to keep their name on the child foster register but have been banned from owning pets or other animals for use outside 'the farm'. The name Clieg Lars is never spoken of again, apart from in dark farming communities in the south west region of Espa, Tatooine.

Cliegg Lars left Tatooine and got a job on Mustafar. He was working in the Mustafar soup kitchen, and just as he was about to serve soup and salad to the Separatist leaders, Darth Vader entered the room and began killing everyone that was in the room. Unknown to us all, Cliegg was killed by Anakin in between the cut away scenes.

Dialogue before Cliegg dies at the hand of Anakin:

Cliegg(with a bowl of soup in hand):Son, is that you??!

Anakin: Says nothing

Cliegg: Son, Why are you killing everybody in here? I know they look like animals, but they are people who were going to pay me.

Anakin: Says nothing

Cliegg: Some guy named Sidious promised I would get paid alot of Republic credits for feeding these customers. Now how will I get paid son?! He promised!

Anakin: Strikes Cliegg down to his death(bowl of soup flys into Anakin's hand) and says, "You just received your pay for allowing my mother to be captured and killed"

Anakintastes the soup and looks down at Cliegg)The soup tastes pretty good, just like mom used to make it yippeee"!!Then Anakin reports to Sidious

I thought the Official Site confirmed very early on in the spoiler phase that the character passes away between episodes. Or maybe he's still healing off in a corner somewhere.

 

Maybe He is kind of like the Elvis of the galaxy, In that people go around claiming to have seen him and he is still alive, I saw Him at the diner, I saw him at the pod races, and so on

I think that in the heat of the moment Cliegg Lars jumped on his swoop bike and headed towards the Tusken camp to avenge the death of his beloved wife..

Unfortunatley for him, the act of necrophilia was witnessed by a surviving Tusken Raider who reported this act to 'the Hutts'.

Cliegg Lars died in hiding yet the sick act went down in Tusken legend. Cliegg thought his little secret was safe. He was wrong. Years later, when Obi - Wan Kenobi makes his way through Jungland wastes, the Tuskens are immediatly frightened off by what looks to them like a ghostly vision of the depraved monster/Moisture farmer- the man in question, Mr Cliegg Lars.

They scarper for their lives hoping to avoid a repeat performance from the one legged- sicko.....

 

Cliegg had a serious malfunction with his hover chair.
He was last seen going the wrong way in a pod race.
