I'm not too up to date with the rest of the upcoming ILM/Lucasfilm projects but I would really like to know what has happened to George Lucas' idea of making all six Star Wars Films in 3D? Apparantly in 2005 Lucas said he may release all Star Wars films year after year starting with the 30th anniversary this year, is this true or is it an idea that has been left on the shelf to collect dust? Any news would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    This really doesn't belong here.

Try one of the Star Wars boards, probably the Saga board.

According to what I've heard Lucas still wants to do it, but it turns out that the conversion process is more expensive than was originally expected, so it will probably still happen, just not right away.

As DarthLowBudget mentioned this board is for non-Star Wars topics so I'll be closing the thread. Don't know any news about Star Wars in 3-D myself but try asking over at The Star Wars Saga board.
