The problem is that for the last thirty years, there were more WWII films than there were WWI films. "The Thin Red Line", "Saving Private Ryan", "Inglorious Basterds", "Pearl Harbor", "Atonement", "U-571", "Fat Man And Little Boy" and "Memphis Belle" to name a few. Your poorly educated people will get mixed up quite easily.

Yeah, the only WW1 movie that I remember from the last 30 years is Flyboys, and that wasn't a great film. And there was that one cool scene in Sucker Punch, which might be similar to WW. They could do worse than to emulate that, though I'm not sure I'd want a full 2 hours of it.

There's also War Horse, but yeah, WWI movies are criminally few and far between.

If the webz doesn't lie, this is a WW1 tank crew mask. Tell me it wouldn't be ideal for the mooks that WW is going to beat up on.

was that a complaint back a page about the tank Wonder Woman is lifting in the poster not recognizable as a WWI design?

    One more week!

Wonder Woman likes to show she's stronger than a tank.

So they had the LA premiere of Wonder Woman, which I was hoping to attend through winning the Omaze contest. I did not win. :( Some dude from Hong Kong. So, I have to check out the internet for the carpet event.

I always kick a big kick out of Gal Gadot and Lynda Carter posing together.

I don't think Adam West has posed with any of the cinematic Batmans.

WW2 is already being lined up, and will also be based in the past, per Patty Jenkins.

Need to be careful with how it aligns with what Diana tells Bruce about when she "left humanity" at Kal's funeral, but I am eager to see how this plays out.

Well, two World Wars could leave Diana to believe that humanity is not worth saving.

Anyway, World War II being the setting for Wonder Woman 2 is pretty much inline with the Bleeding Cool article I read back in 2014 where it reported:

Yeah, the comments by the very angry and upset dudes are funny and reflective their childish views. I don't know why the Alamo Drafthouse dignified these comments with a response.

    Wonder Woman 1 = World War I (i.e. WW1)

    Wonder Woman 2 = World War II (i.e. WW2)

I see what you're doing there, DC. :p

Does anyone know when the review embargo passes? I need to know whether WW is a DC failure, a Marvel mediocrity, or something special (e.g., this year's Logan) before I make plans to see it.

JointheSchwarz: I read the twitter comments; what makes them problematic is that nearly every superhero movie draws similar enthusiastic reactions. In light of my exasperation with the subgenre, I always wait until there's a consensus on Metacritic. (And even that's no guarantee: a number of Marvel movies have scored well, but left me indifferent.)

WW has the best trailers of any of the summer's tentpole films, unless Dunkirk counts as a tentpole film, in which case WW has the second best trailers of any of the summer's tentpole films.
