Beyond - Legends What I Should Have Told You (J/Z Viggie)

This is the prequel to, The Final Duel. You'll want to read it after this story if you haven't already.

This one is not as good, I think, but if gives a background for the other. This one is romance/slight humor. The other one is angst all the way.

"Zekk?" A voice came from behind him. Zekk sat atop the temple on Yavin IV meditating, and watching the sun set.

"Jay. Whats up?" Still crosslegged he spun in place.

"I need to talk with you."

"Whats on your mind? Kyp?"

"Yes, but, I need talk about somthing else." Zekk cocked one eyebrow. "I don't know how to say this, but..." Her tough tied.

"Yes?"

"I.. I love you." Her vocie was low, and a faint blush crossed her cheeks. Zekk sat in shock. He turned back around and faced the setting sun. "Zekk?" He said nothing. Nither said nothing un till,

"A year ago, you said you hate me. That I run off anytime you need me." His words cut her deeper than anything she could imagine.

"Yes, but... Never mind." She turned to leave.

"Jaina." His voice was stern. She fought to hold back tears.

"Yes?"

"Come here." He stood up and faced her. She walked up to him standing only a foot away. His green eyes were like two turbolasers at high power, burning holes in her. His face relaxed. "I love you, too." She threw herself on him. The tears of hurt being washed away by those of gladness. "I always have loved you, Jay. I promise, I'll never leave again."

"If we live through tomorrow, that is." She bit her lower lip at the thought.

"Durron doesn't stand a chance against us." Jaina laughed and tucked her head under his chin. Zekk wraped his arms around her. The two stood there for the longest time. Zekk slowly sat down and Jaina followed. "I love you, Jaina. I wish I had told you a long time ago." Jaina burried herself in his arms, cudling herself up with him.

"I could spend all night up here." She remarked. Zekk tighten his embrace on her.

"Then stay we shall." Jaina laughed at his choice of words. Zekk grined. [i]She hasn't smiled since Luke's death.[/i] A bigger grin crossed his face. [i]She loves me. She loves me![/i] He pulled snugled up next to her. "Good night, Jay."

"Good night, Zekk"

"Good night, 'Lovebirds'." Came a chuckling voice from a bush of ivy.

"Mara, get out of here!" Jaina tossed a stick at the bush and burried her face in Zekk's chest. Mara turned and went back down to the temple, chuckling. While Zekk and Jaina spent the night under the stars, together.

The next morning Jaina and Zekk, arm-inarm, boarded a shuttle and flew off to face Luke murderer, Kyp Durron.

Great prequal. *stops* Kyp Kyp Durron killed Luke???? *runs to next part of the story* fyi, I'd like to see the dual between Kyp and Luke.
