What If 1: Jango Fett vs Darth Maul.

What if...

It had been Darth Maul in place of Obi-Wan on Kamino (for any reason), and he had taken on boba fett, who would have won?

IMO the battle would have been very short, with both father/son (jango/boba) getting the force choke (10 years after TPM Maul would have pretty much mastered the standard darkside powers by now) with Maul not even having to use his saber.

 

I don't know. Fett seems to be able to hold his own against jedi.

 

When are people going to accept what happened and stop saying "what if"?

 

I would have to say Jango because he kills for a living and is equppied with very usefull tools and weapons

 

Maul would have walked off the platform leaving behind 4 figures.
Jango's upper torso, Jango's lower torso, Boba's upper torso, Boba's lower torso.

 

Is Maul trying to capture Jango Fett, or is he trying to kill him.

Had Obi-Wan been allowed to kill Fett, I am certain that their fight would have turned out differently....

Jango can only hold his own against a Jedi, or sith, if he is able to keep distance between them.

Even by launching rockets and firing his blasters he can only hold off the Jedi, he seems unable to kill them. At least that is what we are shown, jango was certainly trying to kil Obi Wan and then Mace but failed to do so. If his Jet pack had not been broken I think he would have gotten out of Mace's way pretty quickly and escaped.

If things get into lightsaber range bad things happen to even the best of bounty hunters.

 

Keep in mind that Jango couldnt kill Kenobi or Windu if the story was going to work.

He held his own against that stupid green Jedi that looked like a fish.

 

Thats a good question Windy, and I concur; I would say Maul would be attempting to capture Jango. This way, I suppose insta kill force powers like choke are out of the question.

 

As long as Jango could take the lightsaber out of the equation he would come out on top. But that's the trick isn't it? This being Kamino and assuming Maul is to catch Jango we can safely assume the fight ends the same way as it did with obi-wan. If Maul was to kill Jango than it gets complicated. the force choke is fine and dandy except while he's choking jango boba gets shots off with the slave 1. It really comes down to getting rid of the lightsaber.
